You do all the advocating you want if you got that type of energy. Sign up and be an active member of one of these advocacy groups. Nobody is stopping you. I've got other things to do.
People die every day. It's a part of life. I can't worry about other people. What you can control is your own situation, not others. Drive carefully, adopt a healthy lifestyle by exercising, not drinking too much and overeating, don't go out for walks in bad neighourhoods at night, etc.
The world always seems to be falling apart, but not really. It's just normal.
And FYI, there's no open carry in Canada. My gun buddies are great by the way. One is an Anesthesiologist that coaches aboriginal youth in both archery and rifle shooting. Another is a Mercedes Benz Technician that helps me with my car repair questions. Another is a employment law lawyer who has helped me out with work practices. The guy who organizes local matches owns a very successful demolition company. Really diverse group from all walks of life.
