SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

From here out reading is at your own risk.

I will start with this simple statement.

Who the hell would have thought Owen Wilson could take his laid back surfer dude persona and turn it into an all knowing wise world weary cosmic entity character that would play off so well with Hiddleson's Loki. I sure as fuck didn't.

They are really going to delve deep into the true Loki here.

I was thinking the exact same thing!! I’m really excited to see Loki’s character growth during this series. I really liked the scene when he was in the interrogation room. You really see the “human” parts of Loki and I really loved to see it 🥰

Good chemistry between the leads.
Not expecting much after WandaVision and FatWS.
At least episode one seems tighter on a single story.
We will see how it goes.

(I am surprised people aren't already attacking it for being "too woke" but I guess that will come later.)

I really loved WandaVision and FatWS so I’m sure this series will be just as amazing. Why do you think it’s “too woke”? I’m not quite sure what you mean.

I don't think it is too woke at all.
I just expected there to be a freakout when they made Loki canonically gender-fluid, but I am happy to be wrong.

It was done in the comics in 2014. And the trolls are finding themselves even more marginalized than ever. Nobody really gives a shit what they say anymore. Most of the real world doesn't care so long as its a good show.

All true and the actual mythological figure has changed sex for hundreds of years, maybe thousands.
Hasn't stopped the trolls from freaking out whenever they feel like accusing something of being "woke" and therefore "bad" anyway.
I saw the confirmation in Episode 1 and thought it was going to be the stupid shitshow du jour and am honestly surprised it didn't happen.

Hopefully this will be a better show than WandaVision or Falcon/WinterSoldier.

Just watched the first episode. I did like it a lot.

It took a bit for me to get into WandaVision, but once I got to the end, the journey was so worth it.

As for FATWS, I liked it as well. ish - I don't know about Cap being gone and replaced yet, even though I like the Falcon's character. It just feels off to me.

Well Sam Wilson becoming Captan America is cannon to the comic books so not that out of no where. Honestly it seemed like the natural choice. I really loved it.

WandaVision, to me, was the best television series to come out since GOT. I'm so disappointed that its only a mini series.

What didn't you like about WandaVision and Falcon?
WandaVision chickened out completely from confronting Wanda as the villain she is in the story and it also was too obsessed by its "Mystery Box" conceit to grapple with the much more powerful story about grief and trauma it wanted to be.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier also chickened out of its main moral dilemma but also tried to tell 4 stories at once and would have benefited from dialing that down to two and giving them enough time.

Both are fine, and enjoyable. The actors had amazing chemistry and were fun to watch. But both were lacking given how much they had to work with.
Loki also has two main leads who are wonderful and have amazing chemistry so like the previous two it will be fun to watch no matter what. So far though, the setup is much tighter, with a single core storyline.
That gives me hope that they will have a much cleaner arc.

Well it came out today that Loki have more watches for the priemer than WandaVision and Falcon did.

I was just really disapointed that they took so much out of wandavision because they didnt want to take away from Wandas story arch. I really wanted Mephistooooooo

I don't think we are ever going to see Mephisto in the MCU.

As for Loki, ep 2 was fun and I am looking forward to Lady Loki (assuming she really is a Loki variant and Mobius isn't just lying).

Marvel are the masters of misleading Easter Eggs in TV shows. And I bet they leak to a few select YouTubers who(those clickbait videos come out out a bit too quick and professionally done) more copy.

I fell for it during WandaVision. Then saw the same thing starting in F/WS. Now just let it unfold.

As to Mephisto I agree. Too damn many evangelicals will bitch.

On a side note the Judge's name also happens to be the same as Kang the Conquerers's lover in the comics. Another false Easter Egg? Or set up for the next big Villain?

They aren't misleading Easter eggs. They throw stuff in for fun and fandom loves to read into shit. The MCU is also a distinct universe, so why people keep expecting things to have one-to-one mapping with the comics escapes me.

Marvel doesn't need to leak things to get people to speculate stupidly. One reason people problem is the whole "Mystery Box" style of television writing. It lends itself to writing in oblique ways and also just throwing shit out with no intention. For WandaVision, at least it was very obviously a puzzle show, so the fans going nuts was understandable.
I don't see why people would over-read F/WS which was pretty straight forward as an action show. The only "puzzle" was Power Broker and they made that pretty obvious early.

As to Mephisto I agree. Too damn many evangelicals will bitch.
That's my thinking. It's too much straight up "The Devil" and they probably don't want to bother when they have all kinds of other options.

Kang is an obvious choice for a multiverse Phase 5 villain. Is Ravonna going to be a link? Maybe. If anything I expect her to be a villain for this piece.
(I don't see much reason we should think the TVA are the good guys here.)

I think Marvel does leak false things with the Easter Eggs to muddy things in case of a real set leak. And yes the eggs are also for core fans to feel in a private in the know club.

As to Ravonna there are no other credits listed(yet) for other Marvel projects in the future(and usually if they are signed to something its listed). But they may be hiding them for now. Eternals will get the Ball rolling I think. And Dr. Strange.

Yeah youre probably right. I think Kang is the big bad in Loki, like aside from "Lady Loki"....I also dont think shes actually "Lady Loki" lol

They had so many easter eggs for Mephisto in WandaVision!! I think there was actually going to be a bit where you see that Senoir Scratchy was some sort of "demon" but they removed it fearing it would take away from Wanda's storyline......definitely sounds like Mephisto. They're also married in the comics so...

I for sure think Kang is behind the "TVA", I remember hearing that he will probably be the next "big bad" like how Thanos was.
