Kate Bush
Correct!

For her six week UK concert tour in 1979, Kate Bush wanted to be able to sing and dance on stage without having to hold a microphone, or stand in front of one. Her sound engineer improvised a headset by using a wire clothes hanger.

It's possible than the only time Kate ever performed on television while holding a microphone was on the first episode of the 1978 UK music show Revolver:

I think all of her 1978 performances on UK and European 'hits' shows were lip synched to studio recordings.

Kate Bush rarely performs live, and she has never performed a full concert outside of the UK. I believe her only North American live performance was in season 4, episode 8 of Saturday Night Live, (December, 1978).

I just uploaded Kate Bush - Live at Hammersmith Odeon 1979 to archive(dot)org. Download it here, or watch it online sometime after noon on September 30 here.

My upload is a Matroska, (.mkv), video file, and the online viewer only plays .mp4 video type, so the compressed version is currently in the processing batch.

Kirk Douglas starred in the film "The Glass Menagerie", in which a woman has a collection of glass animal figurines. His son Michael Douglas, starred in a film in which there is a scene with glass animal figurines, an apparent tribute to his father perhaps? Name the flick.

Who is this guy?
Skid Roper.

I saw Mojo Nixon and Skid Roper a couple of times in the late 1980's, (Rivoli and El Mocambo). Skid played 'washtub bass' - a broom handle on top of an upside down metal pot, with one string, made of string. Skid usually sang lead vocals on one song per show, often In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
