Since no one has taken a stab at answering my question, I’ll give the answer: Princess Grace of Monaco was pronounced dead at the Princess Grace Hospital.
Who's interested in a Real Time Tournament?
Name the movie. has had correct answers from many different handles. Who would be interested in a head-to-head-to-head game, and it's your choice if it's serious or just fun.
How it would work:
I have screen caps from 100 more movies, and I'm working on more. I can post up to ten caps in one post. Each cap would have a sequential number description - that number, plus the movie name, would be the response format, instead of quoting the question post, and adding a reply.
What I would need is an idea of who would want to play, and the most convenient time for the game to start.
Example:
The game starts at 8:30 on the 28th. Sometime shortly before 8:30, I'll post all of the questions, ten per post. Replies before 8:30 by anyone will be ignored, as will multiple answers in a single post - this is because the minimum time between posts is a factor in determining the sequence of answers, and if someone stumbles into the game and answers a bunch, it won't affect play. Players would have a few minutes to study the board before the game started.
After posting the questions, the only thing I would do is post a 'Regis' for inexact movie names; the 'Correct, if spoken aloud' rule would be in effect, and obvious typos ignored. I wouldn't update the question posts until the game was over.
I considered this Tournament scoring system:
Correct! - Five points.
Nope. - Minus one point.
Too Slow. - Minus one point.
In addition, the handle which scores a Correct! receives any forfeited Nope. and Too Slow. points.
There would be some sorts of trophy pics for the winner and podium finishers.
