Penguins have been known to dive to 1200 feet while submarines will dive only to 200-300 feet.

I went on one of those submarine tours when I was in Barbados. If I recall, we went down about 500 feet but I could be wrong. Anyway, my strong recommendation is to not go on a submarine when you're hungover. Not a pretty sight.
But I loved the Mount Gay rum. lol

Navy subs do not go much lower than 200-300 feet most of the time. Depending on vintage. Canada has used Brit diesel subs, the Americans have nuclear subs that can go a dive a little lower.I went on one of those submarine tours when I was in Barbados. FYI - If you are in a tourist trap and they ask you to sign a waiver against injury, run for your life. One on a thousand people are injured in these tourist traps, some people die. Just imagine if you were told that 200,000 people use the subway every day but 200 are injured going down there. You would never ride the subway again.
