    The End Of Empire

I bet he will back down like most of his day 1 promises to do something are usually just lies. He doesn't say "if.....then..." but just lies which is usual for him.

    Rat: feast, drown, bury, retrieve.

I think I hear handsome Patrick saying, "Yah I want to get out of the cold up here and join your army against rodents in Phoenix... at least before it gets hot there in the Summer,"

    Rat: feast, drown, bury, retrieve.

Yes, we have a homeless problem, with many who die from the heat and are on the streets homeless. We are trying to get more affordable housing and have cooling centers, but it is a huge problem in Phoenix with our heat and in Minneapolis, even worse with the extreme cold.

    Rat: feast, drown, bury, retrieve.

Heh, I grew up in the Minneapolis area, where -40 F and +32 F felt warm. There was lots of snow to shovel, and we had car heaters to keep the engine from freezing overnight so it would start the next day. Then we had humid summers with those darn mosquitoes and an occasional tornado. 88 f was...

    Rat: feast, drown, bury, retrieve.

Actually I do, in North Phoenix but not downtown and larger than most city lots in the foothills of Lookout Mountain, but all well within the city of Phoenix

    The End Of Empire

What fall? "The envy of the world" by Economist magazine and others. One of highest GDP.s, record breaking highs in stock market, US Dollar soared, near record low unemployment. Weak Leadership? Reunited world leaders after they worried about the US in decay in global leadership under Trump...

Rat: feast, drown, bury, retrieve. A few weeks ago, we planted beautiful new flowers all over the front yard with some night lighting, including in some large, tall flower pots, planters, etc. It was adorable until... About a week later, a rat or rats feasted on them. Some just had flowers...

    Coyote Attacks

I have lots of coyotes at home in Phoenix. Our German shepherd (Lacy) liked to think she could play with them. She would follow them up a nearby mountain trail we walked. My home is reachable from the mountain area many are in. They often are heard yowling late at night, maybe during the mating...

Trump Says U.S. Will Impose Massive Tariffs On Mexico, Canada And China From Day 1

Trunp has never cared about laws, ethics or morality. Minor problem just ignore the law like he always does and never be held accountable since he is the only person in the US to be above the law as our Dictator in Chief.

Trump Says U.S. Will Impose Massive Tariffs On Mexico, Canada And China From Day 1

So it is just another lie as usual since he has promised it would on Day 1.

Trump Says U.S. Will Impose Massive Tariffs On Mexico, Canada And China From Day 1

Being a nerd for facts, when they show the videos of what Trump says which is often provable lies and lies after lies, which can be facted checked I don't see how that is bias. Just one simple example is Trump on video that the networks have played saying often that we "have the worst economy...

Trump Says U.S. Will Impose Massive Tariffs On Mexico, Canada And China From Day 1

Trump won the "We the People" vote by less than 2% (1.6% latest), the slimmest majority in 20 years. The Electoral College was created to take the vote from the people and into the hands of the elite. MSNBC and CNN with facts lost to the lies and "alternative facts" on social media vs real...

Are we done with Canada Post yet?

There are many people, especially older that are not internet savvy. I was amazed at how much a Canadian stamp is higher than the US. I get 10-15 pieces of mail daily, six days a week, although most of it is junk. While our US rates are much lower than yours, our postal service is the only...

    Looking for TLC/Intimacy

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I have long passed, joining the senior ranks at age 78. But for many decades, including 20+ years in Toronto, enjoying the more caring touch of TLC intimacy much more than the usual sex. Even in my youth, I found just sex boring without an intimacy real for the moment...

    Bitcoin to skyrocket in 2024

The big deal for Bitcoin, other than the greater fool theory, is that Trump had huge contributions from the bitcoin industry (the guy who once said he didn't need to raise any money "since I am SOOO RICH"). The idea is to replace the SEC folks with those more favorable to getting bitcoin ETFs...

Trump Victory: American heading towards Fascism? - Financial Times (London) 11/14/2024

The article goes into a discussion of slavery which was racist and how different from the risk we now face. I could get into these wider areas but don't have the time or interest. I just present a very articulate article that is a warning to the US. Take it or leave, it. It is worthy of...

Trump Victory: American heading towards Fascism? - Financial Times (London) 11/14/2024

I agree; primarily related to Vance and maybe a power struggle as Musk wants to take the stage. Remember, in a true democracy, "We the people" decided not to establish an electrical college based on taking away the people's power since it could not be trusted and was in the hands of the elite...

R v Kloubakov - escort drivers' case goes to the Supreme Court of Canada

I just printed it out for my fun time reading :( Thanks, Mandrill, for the link and summary. Without having read it yet, I assume it is only going to rule on the narrow issue of kind of the old law living off the avails related to drivers. So this could affect escort agencies. However, even...

Trump Victory: American heading towards Fascism? - Financial Times (London) 11/14/2024

This is brief highlights of a very long detailed historical article. The basic point is Europe has a long history of knowing what fascism is such as under Hitler. But the US may not be recognizing it with Trump, since the US has no historical prospective:. Financial Times Highlights If the US...
