    Europe’s Hard-Right Turn

ADAM SHARP JANUARY 14, 2025 The European Union’s crony-socialism experiment is not going well. Industrial production has been crippled by bad energy policy. Deindustrialization is spreading across the continent. At the same time, smothering regulations have gravely wounded productivity. For...

Jim Warren Jan 13, 2025 By spring 2024 it was pretty clear the Liberal government was headed for palliative care. A Leger poll on May 25 and an Abacus poll June 10 showed the Conservatives with a 20 point lead over the Liberals. As the likelihood of their imminent defeat increased, the Trudeau...

Can Trump Buy Greenland From Denmark?

Why Greenland Is Of Growing Strategic Significance JAN 9, 2025 Donald Trump wouldn’t categorically rule out using the U.S. military to take control of Greenland, saying that America needs it — as well as the Panama Canal — for “economic security.” Amid intense kickback from Denmark — a NATO...

Can Trump Buy Greenland From Denmark?

From a national security perspective acquistion of Greenland makes sense. Stationing missile launcing sites in Greenland as a deterrence against Russian aggression is more economical than giving away money to Ukraine.

The Syrian Fiasco… A Case of the “Empire First” Folly in Spades

I don't blame the Jews. I blame the west mainly the U.S. and the U.K for sticking their nose into the Middle East . Geopolitical conflicts in the ME would better have been confined to the ME.

NATO Takes ‘Full Control’ Of Air Defenses In Poland Days Before Trump Gets Into Power

That Ukraine is not going to defeat Russia is already expected and is no longer what its backers are worrying about I believe. The west now has more to worry about rising resentment of Ukrainians towards its "allies' for using them as cannon fodder in a protracted war. That resentment could...

    Trump, ruler of the world

I agree alcohol is not as addictive as nicotine. That being said, note that heavy smoking doesn't lead to offenses such as impaired driving causing death, domestic violence and vandalism. Healthwise, liver cirrhosis is as bad as lung cancer. Alcohol hands down causes more misery than cigarettes.

    Trump, ruler of the world

I for one consider drinking alcohol to be a bigger vice than smoking tobacco. The society is probably in disagreement with me. Drinking Molson is cool while smoking is bad for your health.

Somalia's Top ISIS Terrorist was "Radicalized" in Sweden

I grew up with a friend who lived beside a mosque. Some of my schoolmates would play soccer in the field outisde the temple. My mom while taking me to school would buy me breakfeast from a woman selling steamed buns at the gate of the mosque in the morning. I would be shocked to figure out I was...

Somalia's Top ISIS Terrorist was "Radicalized" in Sweden

Maybe the Islamist regime in Syria could moderate these radicalized terrorists as a way to show their gratitude to the U.S. and Israel for helping to bring them to power. I think they will be treated well by the U.S. so long as they confine their plots of future terrorist attacks to the west...
