Anyone worried about the “Online Harms Act” introduced …..

I think you have too much faith in humanity. They've already demonstrated they can define hate speech to be whatever they disagree with. All they have to do is claim engagement in the industry is hateful to women, and they can use the law to go after those who do engage with it.

Anyone worried about the “Online Harms Act” introduced …..

The bill has all kinds of power grabs in it, but hey, if he promises :ROFLMAO:

Burger chain Wendy's looking to test surge pricing at restaurants as early as next year

This methodology is applied elsewhere, too. Like hydro. And obviously Uber. The idea is to reduce peak demand and inflate off-peak demand. Consistency is way more efficient. Staff won't be as overstressed, nor will their schedules be as erratic. Could save the company money too by reducing...

Is this the warmest winter in Toronto ever?

Trade winds. I also didn't say this is the strongest ever. It's among the top 5. Latest figures have it at 5th, just behind '65, but that could be upgraded when new numbers come in. The three strongest since 1950 were '82, '97 and '14. If you look at the Oceanic Nino Index, there doesn't...

Is this the warmest winter in Toronto ever?

Double negative? This year's El Niño is apparently among the top 5 strongest ever recorded. So this weather isn't exactly surprising.

Ontarian takes OHIP to court for gender-affirming surgery funding

The issue is that the particular procedure she wants is considered experimental. If you read into it, it's not the typical bottom surgery.

Toronto's Gardiner Expressway to go down to four lanes for 3 years

Yes, and eventually the bloat gets so big that the wheels grind to a halt. You either remain constantly vigilant in the fight against it or you let it run to the point it causes the destruction of our economy and standard of living. Guess what. Infrastructure falls apart then too. A...

Toronto's Gardiner Expressway to go down to four lanes for 3 years

    Yup, that's certainly one example.

Toronto's Gardiner Expressway to go down to four lanes for 3 years

People already pay more taxes than ever before. The problem isn't that people don't like paying taxes, it's that so much of that money is misallocated.

Will you still love a woman when she is no longer beautiful physically ?

I didn't say they didn't exist. Plenty of people have fallen in love with people they've only ever interacted with through text.

Will you still love a woman when she is no longer beautiful physically ?

Well, ask yourself: is it possible to fall in love with someone you've never seen? The answer is YES! Heck, people fall in love not only with people they haven't seen, but also people they haven't heard, touched, smelt, or tasted. Love exists outside the five senses. Intimacy of the mind is...

Falsely accused by ugly female colleague of inappropriate staring

As an employer, this is an accurate statement. Some people can literally make a second job for you just keeping up with all the problems they make. However, I can say by experience it's pretty easy to pick up on who these people will be in the hiring process. Not 100% foolproof, but usually.

Manderin Chinese Buffet Wow what a difference, not in a good way

Mandarin is still highly popular though. Unless you have a reservation, good luck getting a table between the hours of 5 and 8, at least at the locations I checked out. Though I suspect it's mostly seniors keeping it so busy. Seniors love their buffets. It has definitely gone downhill IMO...

    Easy casino games?

Blackjack would definitely be easiest. I mainly stick to poker because it's the only game you can actually make money in the long-term. But I'll also play some blackjack (classic fun) and some craps (which I find exciting). Oddly enough, my first three forays into casinos all won me money...

    Partner ?? What Happen to bf/gf ?

I use "partner" or "SO" when not referring specifically to one or the other. If I'm not just referring to bf or gf, but both, I'll say "partner" because it's simpler.

Court has ruled Emergencies Act during Trucker convoy was unconstitutional

I'm glad you're not a hypocrite. But I disagree with all options being on the table. If we don't keep our government in-check, then they're liable to run roughshod over us. Today, it's freezing the bank accounts of those who support an illegal protest. Tomorrow, it's freezing the bank...

Court has ruled Emergencies Act during Trucker convoy was unconstitutional

I guess we'll disagree on that. I have a HUGE problem with the government freezing assets of its citizens for supporting a protest. Financial strong-arming like that is exactly why there's interest in crypto currency decentralization.

Court has ruled Emergencies Act during Trucker convoy was unconstitutional

Those Palestinian protests are almost daily and have been ongoing since October. The fact that they go home at the end of the day and come back the next day in a new location I don't find is a big difference. They're just spreading the frustration around. As far as I'm concerned, if you're...
