How does one reconcile religion with SW?

Jesus said 'love thy neighbour'. He didn't say anything about doing it for free.

I will say from the outset that I am not a particularly religious man, however one of the core tenants of Christianity is repentance and forgiveness. It's been a minute since I've read the Bible but I know for a fact that in the new testament Jesus didn't wonder the holy land scolding the prostitutes. So yeah being an escort might clash with established Church doctrine but as long as you repent at some point you will be forgiven

Why do you need religion or the concept of a "god" today? Does it help you sleep better at night? Do you think you're special cause you got some card to get into some place called "heaven"?

Religions were created centuries ago to control the masses especially the uneducated ones which still works today. Someone at a church won't get told the truth for continuing to sin on purpose as long as they keep repenting which is a joke. The churches only do this to gain donations or try very hard to gain 10% of your income. Without that money many churches either closed up shop or sold to some other pastor/priest (aka just another business person).

The same concept can apply to someone who goes out and murders people and calls themself a Catholic. If you're killing for no reason in particular and such how many times do you repent until you magically get into heaven when you die?

Jesus didn't scold the whore in the bible, but did nicely told her go on your sins are forgiven and she cried. If she was going out killing people for fun or to get back at others for minor things Jesus would have said the same thing. Go on and your sins are forgiven. He'd be really stupid to think in the back of his mind "oh please go out and keep killing and sinning and I'll magically forgive you because you believe in me and we'll let you in some magically party joint called heaven. And if you read the NT heaven is just a boring ass place where nobody really knows each other and all you do is sing praises to a Lord.

Once again boring concept to keep the masses at bay. Fear has always been the greatest marketing tool.

One doesn't. They are irreconcilable.

All organized religions are inherently patriarchal. Women are seen as sex objects whether you participate in sex work or not.

I'm sure that Lawyers, politicians, bankers and all the CEO's

would be sent to hell well before any SW would

at least SW provide a spark of joy in this otherwise "bad" world

He had much bigger problems with the bankers, not the girls they paid for. The Catholic Church in fact has far more serious issues internally and historically to be wagging fingers at SW's. Quite simply imo th doctrine of a church is not ones true relation with their God. That comes from within. They represent community ties and standards more than spiritual needs.

Don't let the remnants of the Roman Empire tell you if you are a good person.

Yes, the New Testament only caught on because the Roman Empire wanted comradery from a shared religion, and the newfound rapidly expanding happy, dancing Jews who worshipped Jesus was there at the right time and at the right place. Paid some serious dividends after the Germans ended up kicking Roman ass many, many years later as a result Christianity having caught on so well by the end of the Roman Empire, since Italy has made money off huge franchise fees ever since.

Tamar is one of the most interesting characters of the Old Testament. Since she appeared to have known, as his daughter-in-law, that Judah saw a sex worker on his trips to the sheep-shearing festival, it has never made sense to me that he had to leave her collateral for additional payment. He would have brought funds for the normal charge. I will forever wonder if she upsold him in addition to dressing as a prostitute and soliciting him. I always figured the upsell was for anal sex, but since she got pregnant from the trick, it is possible that she upsold him to forego the lambskin condoms that were used at the time. Since God smote the second son of Judah and Tamar‘s second husband for ejaculating onto the floor, it is understandable that he did not use the withdrawal method.

Religion is irreconcilable with almost every human endeavor. Prostitution is not the most irreconcilable profession.
