Can we take a min to discuss No shows and deposits!!
As a provider, who doesnt ask for deposits, im getting really tired of amswering messages, drive to the location of the booking only for the person to no show!!

its happened three times today ALONE!’
I dunno if someone’s playing games or what, but it really makes me want to start charging a deposit!!
Im using my own car and gas to get there for nothing.

i know alot of yall dont like to pau deposits, but could there be some mutual respect that if you book and cant make it you text, and please
Stop making bookings thinking its funny to no show!!
I pride myself on being a reliable SP but it would be so nice if it was reciprocated.

Rant over 😂

This gets discussed frequently. Don't expect a lot of members to be reasonable. Tons of entitlement.

Let's walk through all the reasons and break them down one by one.

SCAMS
Issue:
Sometimes the request for a deposit is just a scam. There's no escort. No service. Just an e-transfer and a sucker.
Where this falls apart: The clients who raise this concern overlook the key issue here. Which is that well-reviewed, well-known, reputable escorts simply don't do this. The deposit isn't the issue. It's sending a deposit to an unknown name that's the issue.
Conclusion: People who say "deposits are scams" are just stupid. You won't get scammed at all if you only send deposits to well-known, well-reviewed escorts.

PRIVACY
Issue:
Sending an e-transfer can reveal the sender's legal name, or leave a bank paper trail that a spouse may find. Clients value their privacy so sending a deposit in this way is a hard line, never do it.
Where this falls apart: You can send deposits through other means. Many escorts allow gift cards, pre-paid credit cards, etc. You can even buy some pre-paid cards in cash. Zero paper trail.
Conclusion: There are almost always deposit options that preserve the client's privacy.

ENTITLEMENT
Issue
: Some clients are just philosophically opposed to paying before arrival. They think "well, I don't pay my chiropractor until after they crack my back so why would I pay (even partially) for sex before I even arrive??"
Where this falls apart: I pay IN FULL for concert tickets months before the event. Paying $50 to secure a spot with a well-reviewed escort is nothing.
Conclusion: Entitled fools are fools.

BUSINESS PRACTICE:
Issue:
Charging a deposit will lose you customers as an escort. That's just a fact.
Where this falls apart: The customers you retain will be more likely to treat you, your time, and your body with respect.
Conclusion: Each escort needs to decide for themselves whether they can afford to lose some customers to risk retaining fewer but better ones. That's a financial risk that can pay off but is not guaranteed. On the other hand, without charging deposits you take on the risks you mentioned: Fake appointments, incurred travel expenses, and lost revenue from no-shows.

No, this isn't AI. This is a guy with too much time on his hands who thinks waaaaaay too much lol

I think we suffer from the same disease of having to much time on our hands!
You made great points and I do empathize with the SP @Saramarie. Being in a client facing occupation for over 40 years, (Yes I started when I was 9 ;-) ), and in the commissioned sales sector....no shows were unavoidable and damn frustrating. I suppose the biggest fear us OPs have IMHO is someone has your email addy that is linked to my banking and name. This is the Privacy concern that @DiscreetRocker mentioned.
I believe this is you correct @Saramarie? LINK
You have a great reputation here, and I hope the no-shows who give the rest of us a bad name do not impact your livelihood.

I think that it is much more expected and accepted that a deposit will be required for OUTCALLS [ than for incalls ] due to there being obvious extra expenses incurred. Often that means sending a prepaid UBER to pick you up. If you are mostly dealing with new clients , vs. repeats , no shows is often a very high % unfortunately. Many potential clients are as bad as many of the scammers who post on Leolist.

i have similar issues with no shows, if this is the Sara i’m thinking of i know in calls are not an option when school is out

but

what i’ve started to do with people who strictly want an outcall but i have not seen before for an incall, i request a deposit (emt, crypto are preferred crypto can be made online with a paper trail or with cash at a crypto ATM)

i’ve come to terms with the fact there are people out there who are just chronically wasting providers time by booking and no showing

and i understand sometimes nerves are at play here but like Sara said, be courteous and let us know? 🤗💕

I think that is appropriate for outcalls as well. It doesn't have to be a large deposit.....

Even a no-show in-call is bad! For the SP it is lost revenue. But so is being ghosted when you arrive at a destination. For the OP, in some cases it has been a logistical challenge given a myriad of reasons to even get to a location and then only hearing crickets. Or where are you, 45 minutes after the agreed upon time.
There are inherent risks for both the buyer and the seller I guess!

well in my case I do drive to all my outcalls instead of uber, just helps me feel safe, that i could easily leave if needed. So I do charge a standard travel fee based off location which I normally collect when I arrive with payment.

Thankful to have a great client base and womderful regulars. I just find it so annoying leaving the house, only for no reason when i really do have other things I could be doing.

i guess its just the nature of the job but so highly frustrating!

I typically charge $20 travel fee up to 30 mins away which I normally collect when I get there along with payment as I don’t Uber I drive myself. But it makes me wanna start asking for at least the travel fee upfront as a deposit for a new clients only!

But it’s even been happening when I go meet people who want car calls, and when I offer in calls too.

I just find it more annoying than the loss of revenue although that isn’t aspect as well we’re trying to make our living too

yea that is me!!
I totally get anything comes up, and thats life and totally fine just communicate the same way they expect us to if we had to cancel!

Same with replying to messages
They would like us to reply to their message, but then when we do reply, even if they’re no longer interested in saying sorry that’s not gonna work for me or what have you? They just say nothing at all.

But my concern is mostly with new clients who book say a car call for example this morning

Client book a car call we agreed upon the location I get there. He says he’s two minutes away then he messages and says. “Good luck, o also sent a male escort there too hes in the back of the lot in a white suv, your both gross” just for fun 😂

We’re having somebody have you drive 25 minutes away they told you that their male and then you get there and they’re actually a female, and you only serve males.

A lot of these idiots ruin it for the rest of us. Plenty of us would love an SP that doesn't require a deposit for outcalls. Sorry to hear that this is happening, its super immature and frankly just weird on the persons behalf for doing that.

Unfortunately it comes with the territory. That's not to say I don't agree with you, I do. Unfortunately, there are as many guys being scammed as there are guys letting people like you down.

It most definitely is weird behaviour especially coming from supposed adults.
But these are the reasons why deposits get requested.
As of right now i dont require one but was considering asking for travel fee up front for new clients.
to me sending me the $20 for my gas ahead of time and shares me that the person is serious.

Unless weve met before!

I'm not against the idea, but unless they are well reviewed and well known.... its an absolute no.

The issue is its a cycle of BS all around.Guys ghost SPs ... SPs ghost guys. It happens all the time... from " 1 sec in the shower" for 20 mins to just not getting a response after you wasted so time.

The thing is, I get the logic from the providers, but I've also had to physically walk out more often lately because there's red flags upon walking in. It's all just a product of the times. I'm sure most of us have observed society in general becoming colder in recent years. There's more distrust, more hostility, people are more guarded and less willing to give anyone benefit of the doubt. So you see that play out everywhere

is this a philosophy course or about the OP expressing her frustration with time wasters ? :ROFLMAO:

Do SPs share information or references about OPs the same way OPs share reviews about SPs?

I typically only book early morning appointments (around 8 a.m.) because my work schedule runs late and doesn’t have a set end time.

Today I tried to book an appointment for Tuesday. After some friendly back-and-forth, I was asked to provide a deposit due to the early booking time. I replied that I wasn’t comfortable with that for privacy reasons, based on things I’ve read here, but I was happy to confirm the night before if needed.
The SP has a good reputation, so I wasn’t refusing outright. However, the response I received felt quite abrupt and not very solution-oriented.

I always try to be respectful. I read ads carefully, follow instructions, and ask about boundaries to avoid any misunderstandings because I believe in treating people the way I’d like to be treated.

It got me wondering: OPs regularly share reviews and experiences about SPs. Do SPs share information about OPs as well? If not, why not?
