I re-evaluated this question, and I have deemed your answer to be correct.
I thought that one of the two islands of São Tomé and Príncipe was closer to the 0 / 0 intersection in the Gulf of Guinea, but apparently Ghana is closer, according to at least one source.

This is not the answer I'm looking for.
It IS Art Hindle, but Art Hindle did not play left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. A character whom he portrayed in a movie or television show played for the Leafs. If I had been looking for Art Hindle's name as the correct answer, the question would have been 'Name the actor'.
