When Wrestling was Fun

I watch a lot of old wrestling matches these days. It's like comfort food before going to sleep. I have an IPTV box that has the old WWE channel which is now obsolete, but they still show random old matches. There's also a YouTube channel called WWE Vault which has tons of old matches, and they even have full PPVs, so you can watch all of WrestleMania 4 or whatever if you want.
I have downloaded tons of matches throughout the years - there are a couple of torrent sites dedicated to Pro Wrestling and I've found a great many matches, shows, PPVs etc there... It's wonderful to relive some of those memories.

No it doesn't suck its shit today's wrestling.

Lesnar was a good wrestler/mixed martial arts I enjoyed watching his matches Goldberg also as he is my favorite wrestler the old days had good storyline and matches and wrestlers as well not like today were were wrestling is shit although the woman are not bad looking that didn't change except there is no more bikini matches lol
The thing I don't like about today's wrestling is it's fans. Too much complaining about who should get pushed or wear the belt. Also too many belts and title changes. And I don't get why every wrestler needs a proper send off. Just retire and that's it.

I agree we can thank triple h for making it shit also
Yes but it's not just him. I can't stand him and especially his wife. She has no idea how to run a business. I stopped watching the product when the McMahon family made themselves the focal point of the company and every show there after.

I remember when Lord Athol Layton got turned into a mass of blood by The Shiek. I also remember when the raw Hulk Hogan nearly killed Don Muracco with a leg drop. Muracco was incensed, instead of beating up on Hogan he mooned the fans - twice.

He is one of the very few wrestlers to make wrestling look real him Goldberg, the road warriors, Haku and a few others
I mean he's the only wrestler to successfully transition from wrestling to MMA. Punk tried it and was getting beaten up by high school students. Hager tried it and got legitimately knocked out. Brock was this generation's version of andre the giant (with cena being hogan): he didn't win that many belts but every match with him felt important.

It's because Brock was actual wrestler prior to WWE so he actually had some training in it from an early age. The other two just wanted to give it a go. I wouldn't put Brock in the same category as Andre. He was a lot more like Brusier Brody or Sid Vicious.

Not in the past when they all looked like Moolah 😂 Wendy Richter was a breath of fresh air for eye candy.

Currently my faves are Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and I wouldn’t mind wrestling with Rhea Ripley. I used to be a fan of Becky Lynch but now she’s just annoying AF, so I guess her heel turn worked?
Now you're talking my language. Rhea ripley is my Mami. Definitely a huge fan of Liv Morgan too, and Charlotte Flaire is by far one of the hottest women in WWE. She's a tough fighter.

Do you think there’s real heat between Liv and Stephanie Vaquer? Stephanie really pushed Liv hard and into the face of (can’t remember her name) and almost gave her a concussion and the knot on her head looked like it came from the TV and smashing her head in to it afterwards. That was actually scary to watch. You could tell Liv was really hurt.
I think so. They have to beef up the drama for TV, but at the same time she actually got injured badly. I guess its part of the game. They have ratings to maintain. But you can't exactly fake that level.

I didn’t really watch WCW, maybe I’m only judging based off of his WWE tenure, which as you said, didn’t go well.
He was huge in WCW and a massive ratings draw. WWE tried holding him back but he still became a fan favourite. Mind you I stopped watching it by the time he arrived there. The mistake with him was the over exposure.

The reason Goldberg's time in WWE didn't go well, William Regal exposed him. Regal made him wrestle, he got winded. Bischoff was livid, even though Regal did the job, he got fired from WCW.

The Becky Lynch and AJ Lee match was horrible. Lynch has more botched spots than any female wrestler. She’s just awful and has never been that good. She’s just a good showman with her words and even that has been horrible since she came back from child birthing.

I miss the attitude era with Sable, Trish Stratus, Lita, Ivory and my absolute favourites Torrie Wilson and Stacey Kiebler 🥰
Sunny was my favourite from that time. Now she's a train wreck and spending the next 15 years of her life in jail for DUI vehicular manslaughter. After her was Melina and Mickie James were my go to. Never Like Trish Status.
