Boards of Canada are Scottish dudes who lived in Canada for a time in the 70s. They took their name as a play on the National Film Board of Canada.
This is a cover of one of their songs.

im a huge Roy Orbison fan....but i only heard his version of this song today
I saw him back in the day perform on tv on a show called Black & White. His voice was amazing. He also had a backup group playing background music, mostly guitar and one performer stood out much more than the others. Turned out I recognized the young guy, non other than Bruce Springsteen.

many versions of House Of The Rising Sun...my late father owned this record a 78...i still have it my my collection...i treasure it...and when i pass. im not sure what will happen to all the old records i still own from my father
i believe the original was attributed to a Black FolkBlues singer named Ledbelly.. i think that was his name, but i think the singer was his wife...at least that,s how the story got told

one of Aretha,s best...and it aint about dancing or taking a car ride lol
Ironically the song "Son Of A Preacher Man" was supposed to be for Aretha..but she turned it down because she felt it was too risque for her image..so Dusty Springfield recorded it and it was a smash hit....later on Aretha did record her own version of the song
My favourite Aretha song?...i am gonna post it
