I really need to do that show. The accents are pretty harsh I find, to the point where I don't feel like I'm hearing the dialogue properly in the moment.
I didn't have a problem with the accents, you just have to become accustomed to Birmingham lingo.

The boys is enjoyable also I know it's a cartoon technically but the new season of Invincible came out about a week ago and I need to get around to watching that

Saturday Night Live UK premiered on Sky on March 21, and the second episode aired last night. It's exactly the same format as the US version, (guest host, commercial parodies, sketches, musical guest, weekend update, filmed segments), but it's considerably edgier. The musical guest, Wet Leg, was really good. Coarse language is permitted in this version.

One Weekend update joke speculated about whether the pedophile formerly known as Prince Andrew would be able to keep his mouth shut if he's imprisoned.

"I hope not", said his cellmate's penis.

My upload of the first episode completed moments ago.

Click here to download, (473 MB .mkv, 720p)

Check this link sometime later on Sunday to watch online:

The online player only plays .mp4 video type, so the site is currently generating a copy in that format. I'm guessing it should be available to watch sometime on or before 4 PM on Sunday afternoon. Don't delay, because Sky has a reputation for removing their content from video hosting sites, so you'll want to see it before they do.

Click a reaction button if you'd like me to upload episode 2.

Just watched both episodes of SNL - UK.

Much more energy than U.S. SNL, but mainly because it pushes the puritan U.S. boundaries more, and is fresh and new in many ways.

Music group Wet Leg killed in the first episode. I had forgotten about them since their first hit "Chaise Longue".

I downloaded both from The Pirate Bay. (Don't worry, I used my VPN.)

Btw, SNL UK in the search box won't work. You have to type Saturday Night Live UK.

Recommended, even if you're a bit tired of the U.S. version. In truth, I primarily watch the U.S. version now solely for the "cold open", "Weekend Update" and the odd musical guests.

Add in their funny short (like when they do a mock commercial) and that's about it. Their skits just aren't well written at the moment.

Maybe it's because they're new to me. and push the boundaries of what would be acceptable on NBC network TV in America, that I am enjoying them.

We'll see whether their writing improves in the next episodes...

You misunderstood him. He was adding to your list of what's worth watching on the US version, and stating that he thinks the US sketches are poorly written. Most likely he hasn't seen the UK version.

I used to watch a lot of UK TV through a torrent site which only had UK TV and radio downloads. I know next to nothing about what's on TV there after mid-2014, when 'thebox' shut down permanently.

This sketch comedy show was one of my personal favorites:

There were three seasons of Katy Brand's Big Ass Show, six episodes per season. This is also very common in the UK: A small number of episodes per season, which gives the writing staff almost a year to come up with about 2.5 hours of screen time, and the cast only needs to commit themselves to a portion of their year, in between other assignments. This same model is currently being used with most streaming shows. The 20+ episodes per calendar year model is kind of a dinosaur at this point.

Ozarks was great. Might have to revisit that one.
I've watched that entire series twice. The second time around it was even better.

That's precisely how I felt about The Wire - I actually appreciated it more the 2nd time as I picked up on lines I missed the first go around. Season 2 of that show is TV at its finest.

I've watched the Sopranos cover to cover 3 times and I may do it again.
