Gavin Harrison is one of my favourites.
Wow this guy is good. One of the best instrumental pieces of the seventies courtesy of the the (Not So) Average White Band.

Yeah, Jeff was on so much stuff including this 1977 hit.

I haven't heard this song in forever. Its so going on my Yacht Rock playlist. Thanks man!
Ya, Jeff was a very in demand studio drummer at that time. All the while doing his work with the group Toto. His shuffling techniques are legendary. He considered Bernard Purdie to be one of his strongest influences. Sadly he passed away far too young.

If you're not familiar with him check out his band Porcupine Tree. He's also played with Pineapple Thief.

I was always impressed with Ginger Baker. He insisted he was a jazz drummer. Apparently, he was a terrible person. I think his African rhythms are very interesting.

I always thought Carl Palmer was the drummer on this one but as it turns out it was "John Marshall" whoever the fuck he was. Good drummer though

Allegedly he had his union ticket because he was a properly trained drummer and could actually read music sheets, and had disdain for those drummers who couldn't read charts. He should have worked for Frank Zappa.
