I don't see how it's just one side. Both sides have their radicals and a pigheaded stubbornness that prevents them from listening to differing opinions. Both sides readily skewer the opposing side, but then play softball when their own side does the exact same thing they were skewering the other side over. Both sides are detached from reason and logic, just in different ways.
Yes, the radicals on the Left believe there are 1076 genders and will cry FASCIST if you reach for an item on the top shelf.
But also, radicals on the right believe humans can't affect the Earth's climate, and have a weird fetish for guns. (I say this as someone who supports having guns for defense, sport, hunting, and other legitimate causes)
