Originally, Gen X were back end boomers. Also, the media often makes the Canadian baby boom look the same as the U.S. boom. Our boom was more back end. One reason was we had a lot of European immigrants in the 50s and 60s who came over and had kids. Also, U.S. servicemen came home early from the Pacific side of the war.

A penny saved is a penny earned
Even today, a lot don't consider a dollar saved as a dollar earned.

Thats not me.
This week I took a stay chill holiday from work.
But my body clock still had me waking at the usual 5ish am.

So I would head out in the car to do a route of dumspters I dive that is usually only a weekend thing.
Home by about 6:45 to put the coffee on and then have breakfast with my wife.
I find wandering early sort of relaxing and staves off the feeling of hanging at home too much on time off.

My wanderings saw me come up with, among other things, $90 worth of beer cans after taking them back to the beer store.

Hard-earned money.

Still see these words here often but no one really work hard like the actual meaning it originated. Our great grand parents would laugh at us.
