Chatr Mobile told me that $100 per year is for 400 calls and 400 texts regardless of whether they are incoming or outgoing. The customer service person persuaded me to go with their $150 per year plan which is unlimited calls and texts.Well, I am going to just wait until September to see if I am still on the air. The mobile Klink said the $100 per year is for 400 calls and texts or something. for $150 you can get unlimited text and calls for a year. Same with Chatr. It seemed that topping up my speakout was easily costing that much per year, so either way I will probably switch.
So just a one shot?Chatr Mobile told me that $100 per year is for 400 calls and 400 texts regardless of whether they are incoming or outgoing. The customer service person persuaded me to go with their $150 per year plan which is unlimited calls and texts.
When I agreed to go with the $150 plan, I found out that my Pixel 4A was not compatible. As a result, Chatr Mobile is not an option unless I decide to buy a newer burner phone.
Should I remove SIM card before or after factory reset?Hey Guys, so little off topic but still in regards to burner phone...I'm a little older here so not tech savvy at all, but if I have an old phone and purchase a 7-11 sim card with cash and set it up, if I delete everything as in a system reset (phone back to original purchase mode) will this clear everything? Even on the sim card? Just wondering as my plan is to set up a date and then clear everything back to original on phone. Want to make sure incase better half finds it won't have anything on it.
Thank you in advance
My phone still working as well. I popped my 7-11 sim into an older phone that is not supposed to be compatible, and it still works too. Feels like the day after Y2K so far but I am guessing the decommissioning of 3G infrastructure takes a bit of time and unlikely to get all done on Labour Day.Anyway it is past the witching hour of September 1'st and to my surprise, both my burner phones are able to text my regular phone. Surprisingly, because the old Alcatel phone is meant to be defunct now. Who the frigg knows?
Right. Just a little confused about the September 8th free sim card replacement. Don't really know what the hell they are doing. Oh well. At least we have other options. My phone still working as well. I popped my 7-11 sim into an older phone that is not supposed to be compatible, and it still works too. I will wait until after September 8th and investigate before deciding to switch to another carrier.Right. Just a little confused about the September 8th free sim card replacement. Don't really know what the hell they are doing. Oh well. At least we have other options.
I have an older sim and it still works, for nowWell it is Sept 2nd and my phone still works. The main thing was that I have a recent sim that can connect to 4g.
Hmm so then all of us will have to wait (old or new sim card) until Sept 8th to see the final outcome....I have an older sim and it still works, for now
that's my guess but I really don't know for sure. Could just be that the 3g shutdown is delayed a bit or a gradual thing so older cards or some older cards still working for now.Hmm so then all of us will have to wait (old or new sim card) until Sept 8th to see the final outcome....
I visited 2 stores yesterday and they had no clue when these new replacement SIM cards were arrivingI will wait until after September 8th and investigate before deciding to switch to another carrier.
I did find out soon. As of September 8 it worked fine to call a local spa.I found out my Huawei 7-11 is supposed to be compatible based on that imei number, despite being old. Thus I don't believe it lol. But I suppose I will find out soon.
I am travelling right now. Will give it a try when I return. 2 days ago my phone with old card still workedI visited 2 stores yesterday and they had no clue when these new replacement SIM cards were arriving
