Funny how no one wants to acknowledge that Hamas 'disappeared' thousands of their fellow 'Palestinians' over the years. With no due process. Now they want to reward them with statehood. Fuck that.
When statehood is accomplished borders will be negotiated and defined.
That is quite far away.
Canada's support is predicated on commitments to hold elections in 2026 in which Hamas can play no part.
So it is a reasonable decision by Carney in an effort to call on the international community and apply pressure on the far right wing Israeli government who have shown no intent of stopping the bloodshed.
