Just found out I don't need e-sim when outside of Canada!

When I was checking my plan thing on my Rogers phone. It has rome like home which is crap if you are going to be outside of Canada for a few days(my last bill after coming home from Cancun was a devastating $450) 7 days times 16$ a day while roaming plus regular monthly fees and taxes.

I was looking at add ons and they have travel pass

An example

14 day travel pass to Caribbean which includes Mexico is 60$

Another example

For Europe 14 days is also $60. Good for me if I go there and drive and hike through Alps of Austria, Italy and Switzerland

Just choose the date when you start your vacation

It's unlimited data text and calls

I always use NOMAD when outside of Canada - so much cheaper.

Thanks for sharing, that’s great info. I used Saily for a two week trip in the spring and plan on using it again for an upcoming trip to Europe. Worked really well. Rogers is still expensive when compared to e-sims. Only issue is you can‘t get a local number in many countries. But you can use WhatsApp with data with no additional cost.

Freedom Mobile offered a Boxing Day Plan for 50 GB including unlimited calling and roaming in the USA and Mexico for just $34 a month.
I used it in Mexico, although it does not work too well outside urban areas even in the USA and Canada.
