This is dead serious.

I wanted to post a public mea culpa. I will not ever get into details, but I will say that I betrayed a special friendship that I had made recently, and I feel really shitty about it. The person I hurt is special, sweet, beautiful and incredibly fun to be with. I'm going to miss her terribly.

No, I won't share any more details than this - but I can assure you that I have learned a valuable lesson and will try to take this as a learning experience going forward. that my actions can and do hurt others. I have been agonizing over this hurt all day.

I was lucky to re-connect with someone who I had upset and get closure.

I have known friends who caused a split with their friends, and regretted it.

Sometimes you don't get a second chance to fix your mistake.

But you can learn from them, and try to be a better person, or a more understanding one.

Growing old and getting wiser is also a part of life.

I won't enumerate my life experiences here, but suffice to say, I was probably justified to be 'pissed' off, but the way I broke it off wasn't so mature or perhaps, too abrupt.
