Trump will chicken out. Canada is a partner much needed for many products and resources.

Trump is a bully imbecile. He's just pissed because Carney made an A1 speech in Davos and Trump regurgitated bull shit, again...
Typical Trump speech, vomit with a generous mix of bile.

Try this on for size, he wants put 100% tariff on Canadian goods okay fine we don’t ship timber oil gas may be some uranium we hold back. Canadian wide boycott of American liquor that also includes beer, as much food that we can buy form Canadian sources.. All another thing sensors the storm coming cut the Hydro off and when they want help re-hooking all their Hydro up again sorry were busy with beaver tails here in Canada. There’s one good thing about it though he keeps pissing off American people, next time it won’t be an ear. This thing about the board of peace and cost of $1 billion to sit on the board I hope that includes lunch? It’s just his way of keeping in power that’s all way it is in three years he shown the door may be sooner but he will lose that feeling of grandeur. I see Germany wants to put forth boycotting the soccer games? I’ll be watching it on TV what people should do, is either go to Mexico or go to Canada and totally boycott the United States. It’s slowly hurting the states distilleries closing up or cancelling a shift, three Las Vegas hotels are accepting Canadian money at par, Florida is asking where are the Canadians. We just have to tighten up our belts and keep gnawing at him sooner or later the American people will realize what a waste he is, after all how many people own guns down there compared to Canada?

I just want to take this opportunity to applaud China for cleaning up it's act and conducting itself in a trustworthy fashion. In a few short months they went from the 'biggest threat to Canada' as quoted by Skid Mark to trusted trading partners who we no longer have to keep our eye on to the point that their spyware polluted products can safely be used here in Canada. Thank you China for being so honest and trustworthy.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I want to take their same opportunity to applaud the USA for showing us their true colours. We now can proceed on the assumption NO SUPERPOWER IS TRUSTWORTHY. And engage with nations, diversify our trade accordingly.

You’re hilarious. Weak cowards are attracted to weak cowards who bluster inanely. Only the insecure and simple minded confuse false bravado as strength. You’re just a bunch of hillbillies whining about how hard done by you are. Entitled. Weak. Childish. trump hasn’t grown beyond the capacities of a toddler and neither have those that admire him. Sad

This is when China, along with European countries need to step up and tell Trump TO FUCK OFF and slap back if he thinks he can dictate trading policies to sovereign countries through illegal tariffs.

The world against the US would have Trump shitting even more in his diapers.

Ok in all seriousness, Are you Canadian? And if so, why do you want to join the US so bad? And if you want to join so bad, why don’t you move south on your own, why does the whole of Canada have to join with you by becoming the 51st state?

Or are you America?

or are you just a troll?

I'm trying to understand the motives behind your posts and opinions.

Well, since you asked politely, I'm Canadian and very disgruntled at the deterioration of this once great country. If moving out of Canada was a viable option I would do so but I have family and responsibilities that I can't just abandon and I shouldn't have to because of bad decisions from our current government.

At this point Canada is going to be under the thumb of one of two countries. China or the USA. I prefer the USA. Which one would your preference be?

I don't believe we will be under the thumb of either but I guess that is where we differ.

Why can't you take your family with you? And what responsibility that can't be transferred to the US? I mean if you believe a whole country can take over another whole country and transfer its power, laws, benefit, taxes, currency, etc I don’t see how you can't transfer what you need to in order to live in a country you respect.

I'm seriously not trying to be rude. I'm truly trying to understand. If I didn't like where I lived, if I thought it was so bad that I wanted to have what another country has, I would move mountains to make that country my home. If a whole country can do it, then why not one person?

Well it's entirely possible you don't understand the logistics of packing up multiple families, selling properties, parting with lifelong friends ect and relocating to another country. It's a monumental task. Furthermore, I shouldn't have to. There are plenty more details which I obviously won't share on a public forum as to why I would prefer to not go thru all of that trouble.

In terms of our country being controlled by another, just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it won't happen/isn't happening. My question to you was serious. If you had to choose and had no way to opt out, which country would you rather be a part of, China or the USA?

But I do have the choice to opt out. You can't just take that choice away because you feel like it. That is not how this works.

And just because I don't agree doesn't mean I don't understand. Why are trying to insult me for having a different opinion?

Also - I do know how hard it is to pick up and move but wouldn't you be happier in the US? Isn't that your point? Why should all the Canadians, who are a majority, that don't want to the 51 state, become apart of the US because you and a minority, don't want to put forth the hard work and effort to move where you want to move?

And not all your family has to move with you. Plenty of families are in different countries. Properties can be sold, even while you are already in the US. That is why we have professionals in real estate. To help with things like that.

It seems like you want the US but not enough to work for it. Which is fine, you can say that. It appears to me that you don't really want it bad enough. Or you would have been gone already. Maybe there are still some perks to be Canadian after all. But that is just an opinion on a 30 second observation. I totally admit I could be wrong.

Anyways, thanks for answering my questions. I have formed my opinion now so I'm good.

I already said that Canada should put a 10% energy export tarriff to US sales. Hydro, oil, gas etc. Trump will do it anyways, so why not keep the money in Canada instead ofTrump's admin.

You really don't see how much better it is here do you? You really think the USA treats it's people better.

Nations go though phases. I remember it was bad in the early 90's. Then by the early 2000's we were at par with the USA. Then we watched the USA go into the shitter in 2008, while we rode it out. Then, and then, and then.

It's all relative.

Right now, no one is dropping bombs on you, or loading your kids into trucks to go to war, or trafficking your female relatives. You own homes, have an abundance of food. Your family has numerous options for careers. You have Healthcare. A social safety net.

You in fact said you can't leave due to nothing 1st world problems. And that is all you have in your life.

You are in effect probably amongst the 5-10% of the world's population for quality of life.

And you can't see it. I pity you.

At no point did I insult you, in fact I've gone out of my way to be incredibly polite to you because I think that's the way a woman should be treated despite the fact you are mingling here among a 95% male population so I'm not sure what you're referring to but I'd appreciate it if you clarified.

Also - I do know how hard it is to pick up and move but wouldn't you be happier in the US? Isn't that your point? I genuinely can't say for certain how happy I would be there as I've never lived there but life here has become unbearable. Also if I were to move the USA wouldn't necessarily be my first choice location wise, there are other places I would be more comfortable. You've mistaken me for being pro American just because I support Donald Trump as a president. At the end of the day I would prefer to remain just where I am. If you lived on a street that was once nice and then turned to shit would you up and move or would you rather the bad apples left the area?

And not all your family has to move with you. Plenty of families are in different countries. Properties can be sold, even while you are already in the US. That is why we have professionals in real estate. To help with things like that.
That's easy for you to say but I genuinely don't think you realize the difficulty of making that move and the turmoil it would cause within my circle, without going into details.

It seems like you want the US but not enough to work for it. Which is fine, you can say that. It appears to me that you don't really want it bad enough. Or you would have been gone already. I don't want the US, I don't want China, I want the pre liberal Canada back and am intelligent enough to know that's not possible even before Carney's 'new world order' speech. I was once a very proud Canadian, I didn't change, Canada did, or rather the government changed Canada.

I've noticed my question seems difficult for you or makes you uncomfortable but I'd still like and answer if you'd be so gracious. If Carney announced tomorrow(I know that is not a realistic scenario but humor me) he's decided to merge Canada with another country and called Canadians to a vote between Canada and China which would you vote for? Or would you pack up and move to another country entirely?

This statement seems to be written but someone wearing rose colored glasses. Healthcare is a joke, new home ownership is a long gone possibility unless your rich, food is the highest in the g7 and we are literally taxed to death. If you can be happy under those circumstances good for you but I can't. Social safety net? I hope that was meant as a joke? There is a quarter of a million homeless Canadians that have fallen thru your safety net, you should go save them.

You in fact said you can't leave due to nothing 1st world problems. And that is all you have in your life.
You're entirely unaware of the challenges and struggles presented to me or others and are simply making assumptions to suit your narrative. I do appreciate your pity but I think it would be better directed at those less fortunate than the both of us, they are much more in need of it

Why do you want me to deal in unrealistic scenarios though? And if are dealing with unrealistic, then why just US and China? Why not Russia or Iran or Japan or England or Australia?

You are trying to pick two bad options to see which of the worst I would choose so that you can pick a fight or cheer depending on my answer. It is literally a set up and I'm not going to play. I'm sorry.

And again, I get how difficult moving to another country would be. I'm not at all saying it would be easy. Please don't think I am minimizing what your struggle would be but why does our entire country have to become part of another country because you don't like it here anymore? The majority clearly do so if YOU have a problem with Canada now as it is, and you feel your voting power is no longer working and hey - if you think the majority of Canadians voting this are idiots, then it is YOU who should leave. Not all of us becoming US citizens. That is my opinion anyways.
