Canadian wide boycott of American liquor that also includes beer, as much food that we can buy form Canadian sources.. Well, since you asked politely, I'm Canadian and very disgruntled at the deterioration of this once great country. If moving out of Canada was a viable option I would do so but I have family and responsibilities that I can't just abandon and I shouldn't have to because of bad decisions from our current government.
At this point Canada is going to be under the thumb of one of two countries. China or the USA. I prefer the USA. Which one would your preference be?

Why can't you take your family with you? And what responsibility that can't be transferred to the US? I mean if you believe a whole country can take over another whole country and transfer its power, laws, benefit, taxes, currency, etc I don’t see how you can't transfer what you need to in order to live in a country you respect.
I'm seriously not trying to be rude. I'm truly trying to understand. If I didn't like where I lived, if I thought it was so bad that I wanted to have what another country has, I would move mountains to make that country my home. If a whole country can do it, then why not one person?
Well it's entirely possible you don't understand the logistics of packing up multiple families, selling properties, parting with lifelong friends ect and relocating to another country. It's a monumental task. Furthermore, I shouldn't have to. There are plenty more details which I obviously won't share on a public forum as to why I would prefer to not go thru all of that trouble.
In terms of our country being controlled by another, just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it won't happen/isn't happening. My question to you was serious. If you had to choose and had no way to opt out, which country would you rather be a part of, China or the USA?

Also - I do know how hard it is to pick up and move but wouldn't you be happier in the US? Isn't that your point? And not all your family has to move with you. Plenty of families are in different countries. Properties can be sold, even while you are already in the US. That is why we have professionals in real estate. To help with things like that.

I already said that Canada should put a 10% energy export tarriff to US sales. Hydro, oil, gas etc. Trump will do it anyways, so why not keep the money in Canada instead ofTrump's admin.

Nations go though phases. I remember it was bad in the early 90's. Then by the early 2000's we were at par with the USA. Then we watched the USA go into the shitter in 2008, while we rode it out. Then, and then, and then.

Right now, no one is dropping bombs on you, or loading your kids into trucks to go to war, or trafficking your female relatives. You own homes, have an abundance of food. Your family has numerous options for careers. You have Healthcare. A social safety net.

I genuinely can't say for certain how happy I would be there as I've never lived there but life here has become unbearable. Also if I were to move the USA wouldn't necessarily be my first choice location wise, there are other places I would be more comfortable. You've mistaken me for being pro American just because I support Donald Trump as a president. At the end of the day I would prefer to remain just where I am. If you lived on a street that was once nice and then turned to shit would you up and move or would you rather the bad apples left the area?
