This tracking trend can put a real damper on things. How do you guys deal with it?

If my SO ever suggested it, it would come up as visiting the offices of prominent divorce lawyers.

Seriously though she just would never even think to. I take care of all my shit at home. The hobby is an occasional distraction.

Never turn it on. Or turn it off when you want to.

Also keep in mind that not only your wife can access your location, Apple does as well and saves it.

Curiosity about this too I always find it interesting on how guys hobby without their SO finding out lol
Don't make them suspicious in the first place. When it turns from a want to a need is when shit happens. I tended to be a last minute book, or hit the parlor. I was a late night worker, no set schedule, with going out after a regular thing. It was always with extra money unaccounted for. And I could always say no.

It's the dudes who do this as a sub for affection that get caught imo. Or the ones who get addicted.

I’m sure the ship has sailed for a lot of guys, but I never turned on or shared location tracking in the first place. And my wife has never asked.

Like Butler1000 said above, the best way to keep safe when pooning as a married guy is to never give your missus a reason to be suspicious. Granted I’m extremely paranoid and do everything I can to keep safe (there are whole threads about those techniques so I wont expand here) but making sure she has no reason to ask is by far the most important. These days if she suspects something and wants to go snooping, or worse yet hires someone to do it for her, you’re screwed.

GPS spoofers are a thing. However, much to my dismay sometimes, they are somewhat unreliable for iOS. They work great if connected to a PC with Wifi, not so much tethered to another phone for Wifi. They don't work directly with the cell signal.

there are 2 kind of scenarios…either the SO doesn’t care at all…be it about your needs or about your whereabouts…then you are not answerable….else if she is always tracking you then you can make that an issue and say that’s the exact reason why u want to take a break and wants some me time. say that I got frustrated with this over controlling nature and switched off the phone to sit by the lakeside and meditate.

Indoors Usually
#1 Im a paranoid MF and I know big brother is out to get me. And what about all those crimes where the feds ask Google or the cell companies -which phones were pinging in the area at the time of a crime. Wife knows I'm paranoid and Ive never had my location turned on. If I'm lost ane need maps I will turn it on.
#2 Bought my phone on Kijijijiji - never registered it - use a data sim card which I got for my "tablet" - and my phone number is from MySudo - This is my main phone line.... can add and delete phone numbers at will.
#3 -Dont use airplane mode - the wifi can still ping for local networks - just manually turn off the networks - or turn phone off. Its an old phone every now and then I "foregt to charge it - didnt realise it had turned off etc etc....
#4 If you want to be super paranoid investigate Calyx - its like installing Linux on your computer - works just like Android but never phones home to big brother... In fact you can buy Calyx phones on Kijijijijiji or just DIY - takes 30 minutes - chatGPT can walk you through it - man is there anything that thing cant do?

"Its an old phone every now and then I "forget to charge it - didnt realise it had turned off etc etc.."

This.

Also -

I turn off my phone constantly at home, weekends, during work meetings. I "don't trust airplane mode or silent mode." that is my public discussion point.

I constantly discuss loudly how stupid it is to be at a concert, a speech, a presentation, a wedding a funeral, and some stupid bozo lets their phone ring.

Constantly say, "what's wrong with people, don't turn airplane mode on, don't mute it or set it to silent, just turn TURN IT OFF an you will have no problems, or better still, leave it in the car. This is what you TELL people.

Develop a persona as someone who HATES cellphones.

NEVER talk about SIMS, always put yourself out there as totally ignorant about cell technology

Yes totally! It's always gonna be hard to find excuses if you are always on your phone. But if you constantly don't reply for an hour or so and say "shit my phone was on silent from when I took a nap. sorry" then she gets used to it and you just become the bozo with no clue about phones. You basically train people how you want them to respond to you.

Don't say sorry!

Why are you saying sorry? That's ridiculous.

DO NOT AGREE TO BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A WORKING PHONE ON AND RUNNING EVERYMINUTE OF EVERY DAY.

As though you are a microchipped Basset Hound!
