First, I think the real blood bath will happen with the GOP. Who is going to be Trump's heir? Obviously Vance could become president at literally any time, if you believe the reports on Trump's health and/or mental decline....But, will MAGA continue to support him, or will the movement implode without Mango Mussolini? it is a very interesting question. I mean, the GOP went super hard right, but their policies have been very unpopular with most Americans. So, do they try to return to the centre with a more moderate candidate? Or, do they try to out Trump Trump and go even farther right with someone even more racist and protectionist?
Now, as for Harris or Michelle Obama....I don't see either of them trying. From everything we've heard, Michelle is sick of politics, especially how they are operating today. Would she be a good candidate? Sure. She's smart and a great communicator. But, as I said, she has the double whammy of being both black and a female....And, I think the US is more mysoginistic than racist....
I could see Newsome and AOC being electable after the American's see the effects of Trump's wrecking ball fucking their country, people and reputation.

My political radar tells me Pritzker is vastly overhyped. A billionaire trying to be the most progressive isn't a great look.

Its a shame the dems cant muster a qualified candidate. A stronger opposition party is better for america and the west as a whole. Strong candidates with good ideas combating or working with another strong candidate is how to propel society forward especially vs adversarial regimes like china.
