I'm looking for hotel recommendations in downtown Toronto that don't require key cards for elevators. Anyone have recommendations? Apologies if this is in the wrong place.

The Marriott Residence Inn at Richmond and BJW was keycard free the last time I used it. Not fancy but decent and in a good location. Sp’s seem happy to visit.

Chelsea Hotel is decent (not fancy), same with the Holiday Inn on Cartlon St. Neither will blow your socks off but they're DT and fairly inexpensive.

King Edward didn't require a keycard the last time I was there but that was last winter so best to check with them.
