I wonder if it was suicide?
Does anyone know the cause of death? The media is very quiet about it. He was in great shape and healthy. I remember in college, he would get up very early in the morning to study and jog, and he continued to do this.

He was relatively young at 62, so that causes of death can be fairly broad. And there could be numerous reasons why they haven't released the cause. But, the top ones would likely be:
- Disease (like cancer. Sometimes folks don't want people to know they were sick)
- Heart attack/stroke (even folks in good shape can have this)
- Drug OD (unlikely, he was a pretty straight fellow)
- Accident (probably would have been released if he was in a car accident or fell down the stairs)
- Suicide (a likely candidate for not revealing the cause of death)
- Murder (would have been announced as him being a victim)

He was a nice guy. I didn't know him well, but the people who did always spoke very highly of him.

His death will likely turn out to be some undiagnosed genetic condition that led to a heart attack. Or a sudden onset of cancer he didn't deal with(I've seen this).

I knew him a little when he was a young man. I did not agree with his politics, like many other people, but we all agreed he was an outstanding person: intellectually brilliant, a very hard worker, charming, kind and compassionate.
I suspect it was the half-marathon he ran in the morning, 6 days a week, that likely killed him. Experts disagree, but most experts say excessive running is very unhealthy and can kill you.
One media report said he died in his sleep.

I listened to the judge read the full decision regarding Duffy. Boy did he get favorable treatment, even when the judge admitted that he used Senate money for personal expenses.
