Nice car—what a shame.

At least it’s a birthday he won’t forget. I can only imagine the fit his old man threw, especially if it was Daddy’s car he was driving.

It doesn’t take much to get nailed for stunt driving, just 40 km/h over the limit on main roads and non-400 series highways. You can easily hit that going 101 in a 60 zone on parts of Highway 27 or other roads up in the north end, considering some cars' performance today.

His parents punished him by taking away the Ferrari… and forced him to drive the Lambo while he thinks about his actions…

Honestly… I’d be more embarrassed at his whining and begging.

That being said… the parents likely won’t reflect on their son’s carelessness, and instead of disciplining him… they’ll just sue the YRPD

If that was my kid… I’d be like Happy Birthday son… here’s your bus pass!!

I totally see them taking this to court. But, they will likely lose. I wonder if anyone keeps statistics about those facing stunt driving charges and having them dismissed. I bet its very low...

I believe even if you get it tossed out, your insurance still holds it against you. Now, it could be said someone driving a Ferrari doesn't care about the cost, but for normal folk, it could be prohibitive.

Nothing will happen. Parents will pay for him to avert punishment and problems.
This kid needs to go to some type of military school.

The dumb kid got what he deserved. That is soooooo pricelessly hilarious. No doubt mom and dad will have a few choice words for their son....on his birthday.

Very true but they took him back to his birthday party where this will embarrass his parents, therefore hopefully they'll punish him for embarrassing them in front of their friends.

Yeah, and the basic fine is $10K, if I'm not mistaken. And the car get impounded (which you also pay for) for a week or something. They aren't messing around with the punitive punishment...

I love Ya Squeezer but no. There is no excuse to be hitting 100 in a 60. If you are going that fast, you know you are wrong and deserve the charge you get.

At least the rich kid didn't get snotty or aggressive; there could have been real trouble for him then.

Yup, you're right, I would be crying on the side of the road if they took my car and would have no one to blame it on but myself.

I will say, though, with some cars today, you really can't feel the speed if you take your eyes off the speedometer.
