Teaching and learning history is a monumentally stupid endeavor.
Any good message board discourages bumping threads with no activity for the past two or three years for a reason.
There is a lot to think about and apply from the Great Depression forward. But that is the stuff taught the least.
Pre Depression. Forget about it. Times and circumstances have changed too much to make it relevant.
Yes, the Incas were shit. It doesn’t help anyone to either know that, or think about it.
There is a famous Jewish warrior who was outnumbered and promised God if he won that he would sacrifice the first living thing he met when he got back to his village. Unfortunately, it was his beloved young daughter who came to meet Daddy the returning warrior. He let her go on a hike to say goodbye to her friends before slicing her in two. For a short period of time there were some Jews who celebrated a day where you remembered to interact with your friends because you never know what tomorrow brings. It fell out of favor when people began to understand that the day originated from this Bible story.
We have advanced as a society. Why even torture kids with stories of how fucked up the world used to be. Many of the most fucked up people in the modern world have an interest in ancient history, which is not a coincidence.

History is very important to teach not only for the lessons it teaches but also because it ALWAYS repeats itself in some ways.
Some people should have listened a little more in class if we look at the state of the world right now.

Incans were an extremely advanced society in many fields (agriculture, architecture, mathematics and even art wise). Unfortunately not advanced enough to know religions are a hoak. Still today, people kill for religion are we better?

It was written that it was a playground where Maya people were on each side, throwing a ball at each other. The winner was the one who simply caught all of them. I was telling that to my kids, noticing a French family was beside us and listening to me. They kind of taught I knew mayan history haha

Russia did try to influence the 2016 election, they reached out to Trump to help (though his team was too stupid to figure out how to do so), and Manofort was on their payroll. So, If we wanna talk about hoaxes...show me the hoax?

I keep forgetting who I'm talking to...OK, let me walk you through this: While there is no evidence there was collusion (maybe because Trump refused to testify in a normal way, and helped obstruct the investigation every chance he had and then pardoned those who obstructed stuff). But, that doesn't mean Russia made efforts to collude. And, if Trump's team were more capable, they probably would have.
But, let me ask you this, and hopefully it doesn't trigger you too much, do you think Russia helped Trump without his knowledge in 2016?
