Aged badly. For being fairly young. Seemed like a mean mother. RIP. I remember him from Thelma and Louise. Only time I saw him as a slightly sympathetic character.

Maybe not a megastar but damn he was in a lot of films including several as a lead or co-lead actor. No doubt for me his shining role was as Mr. Blonde in Reservoir Dogs. He played that sociopath role so well, its like it came natural to him. Things seemed to really spiral downwards for him when his son committed suicide in 2022. No doubt that help contribute to his early demise. RIP.

All the tough guy types from the 90s seem to die young. Michael Madsen, Chris Penn, Tom Sizemore. I guess that's why they're called heavies.

I'm surprised Joe Pesci outlived most of those guys.
First movie I ever seen Madsen in was the 1991 film "The Doors" and also remembered him on the television show "Vengeance Unlimited". RIP

Good point! Maybe his comedic chops saved him. For every tough guy role, he's had a funny one too.

Just watched Easy Money recently for the umpteenth time. He and Rodney were great together.
