Does Uber really cover the difference though? With the sheer amount of delivery people alone, it's absolutely crazy how many there are.
Which today I saw in Gerrard Square parking lot a Jamaican Canadian (half Canadian flag/half Jamaican cross tattoo on his forearm gave it away) giving shit to an Uber delivery guy for bumping an eldery Chinese woman and knocking her flat out on her back, out of the McDonald's door just because he lacked any sense of manners.
The crazier thing was, the Uber driver nodded his head as if it say "yeah yeah fuck you", got on his scooter and as he drove off gave him the finger. He's lucky he did that while on the scooter because this guy was absolutely massive, I'm 6'3 and I get the whole "you're tall shit" but this guy made me look like a gnome and was built like a damn tank. Nice dude too, we chatted it up a bit after we helped the woman up with her bags. He went on a tirade about how his teenage son was finding it hard to find a job with his friends anywhere.
They just get by.
And also rely on charity.

As far as jobs go, the job market has been shit since 2023 due to inflation, Trump tariffs, the wars etc..
Toronto's unemployment rate is 9%. In 2023 it was 6%.
It will take a year to recover at the very least.
You can put 10 in one bed room a few more on the balcony and much more on the roof. That s the first team; second team beeing at work.

If they're lies, they're only half-lies. I've not seen anyone prove it entirely false. The numbers aren't adding up.
