Wow, he just started his career into F1 and already a documentary?
'I have to wonder if Toto didn't reach out to his contacts and push for this massive marketing of Kimi.
Of course he did, the more famous your drivers the more $ you get from sponsors.

This is unprecedented in Formula 1 history, because of both Antonelli's age, (18), and his F1 career having started with a top team.

Here is a list of Formula 1 Drivers' World Champions who won at age 25 or younger, in chronological order, with their total career wins, or wins to date:

Michael Schumacher (1994 - age 25) 91
Fernando Alonzo (2004-05; - ages 24 and 25) 32
Lewis Hamilton (2008 - age 23) 105
Sebastian Vetel (2010-12; ages 23-25) 53
Max Vestappen (2021-22; - ages 24-25) 65

Max has plenty of wins left in him.

While
Antonelli has yet to even win a race, he potentially has eight seasons in which to join this elite group, and five chances to become its youngest. He won two races in Formula 2 last year, and dominated several minor formulae as a 16 year-old, prior to obtaining his driver's license in Italy.

The closest comparison is Hamilton, who began his career with McLaren at age 22. For joining any top F1 team at any age with no prior F1 experience, the closest match is Gilles Villeneuve, signed by Ferrari after one race in a year-old car for McLaren, but Gilles was 27.

Schumacher was 22 when he had a one-off drive for Jordan before being acquired by a competitive Benetton team. Alonzo had a 0 points year at Minardi and a year as test driver before contesting a Grand Prix for Renault. Vettel held all of the 'youngest ever to...' F1 records before Max. Kimi is the same age now that Max was after his only full season with Toro Rosso.

Back in the day, top F1 teams were looking for experienced drivers with success at or beyond the expectations of their machinery. Currently, they seem more interested in reflexes/ reaction time. That's to be expected, as speeds increase.

Yep, thanks for the list, that's quite the company and to have 7 years to do something is incredible for him.
Liked him when I first saw him after a friend showed me this clip

Is that how that work? I had no idea.
But it's not like Toto is lacking in sponsorship either.
Yes that and results. But for example Perez is so famous in Mexico his sponsors paid bought 21M a year in advertising from the team. Lewis Hamilton is paid 60m base and 60m possible bonuses, but his signing allowed Ferrari to land HP as a huge bucks sponsor 90-100m a year. Oracle pays Redbull 100m a year which makes Max's 50m salary easily affordable.

Italians aren’t easily impressed. It will take much more than a fancy Don suit.

Ive been to soccer games where the cheered Totti until h3 missed a penalty kick then they were instantly ready to crucify him.

The Tiffosi are brutal!
The Tifosi looked pretty happy at Imola last weekend.

I fear Mclaren don't want Pastri to win, some of the strategy they give him is suspect.

Interesting.
Curious who the manufacturer could be. BMW, Toyota again?
Those would have to be the two that make the most sense.
To go way out on a limb maybe Hyundai? They are currently working on a car for IMSA/WEC under the Genesis banner.

BOOOOOOOOORRRRRRIIIING! It's time for the nostalgia to end and for everyone to realize the cars are too big and too fast for Monaco. Race was over after Q3. Adding mandatory pitstops didn't really do much except for Hadjer. The rest was a snoozefest. All opinions my own of course.

There is too much money in Monaco for F1 to pull out.
Other than that I agree with you.
Even Toto pretty much said that after the race.

Another parade at Monaco.
At least the last 10 laps were tense.
That's a great way to describe, a parade. The super rich just want to see and hear fast cars go vrooom and they need a reason to show off their yachts...
...big wallets, big egos, massive insecurities.

If it wasn't for big wallets and big egos there would be no auto racing anywhere.

I heard that part when they cut to the scene showing him, but I was busy doing something.
I just imagined him with his big villainous laugh holding a drink, didn't miss anything. lol
