Trudeau didn't have the vision and PP doesn't have the know how of Mark Carney. Even before he became Prime Minister he already had a plan in place. Trudeau did the groundwork by setting up Free Trade deals with the EU, Japan and Indonesia. I'm expecting Carney and Lula have to secure a Free Trade deal with Brazil. India is more problematic, Canada needs to apologize for Flight 182.

During Stephen Harper's time as Prime Minister, Canada engaged in numerous trade deals. Some of the most significant included:

  • European Union:
The EU was also a major trading partner for Canada, with a significant portion of Canada's total trade according to Wikipedia.

In less than six years, the Harper government has concluded free trade agreements with nine countries: Colombia, Honduras, Jordan, Panama, Peru and the European Free Trade Association member states of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. Canada is also engaged in negotiations with large, dynamic and fast-growing markets, including the European Union, India, Japan and the countries that comprise the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Trudeau was and always will be a moron who's only real accomplishment was creating a culture of corruption , massive debt and a far more divided Canada

if he had a real plan in place, he would have a budget
he is a banker for Christ sake
no financial manager makes a move without a budget

the only plan was to retain power for the liberals

We're looking at another couple of lost decades. Living standards will continue to drop. Complex systems will fall apart due to lack of competency. Government spending will eventually bankrupt the country. Lots of job losses. Lots of pain and suffering.

The good news is that with each passing year more and more boomers either die or are stuffed into old age homes by their kids, their craven lack of empathy for their children and grandchildren will give way to the desires of young people who just want to be able to live a decent life. Gay race communists will be universally ignored and eventually the return of meritocracy will allow the country to thrive again.
