So this whole thread has me craving hamburgers.

Coincidently, last night, I was driving by Butchies, haven’t been there in years.

I got the hamburger plus one side ($15 + taxes). I’m happy to report that the patty on the burger was very thick and juicy. The bun was warmed perfectly and the fries were crispy and golden.
Everything there is really good. My favorite is the country fried steak. The fried chicken is good too but Chicas Chicken isn't too far and I think they make a far superior bird.

I once paid $20 for a chicka chicken sandwich and a water won't be back.
Yeah? I remember the prices floating around more 15ish. Anyways I think it's delicious. I'm happy to wait for good quality fried chicken.

Love me a good chicken sandwich but like these boutique smash burger places, I have yet to find a place where the taste and quality justifies the $15-$20 price just for a damn sandwich.

She is an outlier in this game. She has no interest in repeat customers or building a solid reputation. She works when she feels like it long enough to make how ever much money she needs that day and disappears as quick as she came. It took me a long time to understand this. We're all used to service minded providers that want to build a reputation and customer base and she is the opposite. I think of her like this. You're driving around your neighborhood and you notice a new restaurant opened. You go and try the door and it's locked. You come back a few days later and it's locked again. One day you're driving by and see people dining but don't have time to stop. You go the next day and the door is locked. You finally see it's open and have time to stop. You go in and have a burger and enjoy your meal. The next day you try and eat there again and the door is locked. Think of her as a restaurant that is open one hour a day 3 times a week and is closed the rest of the time with no sign on the door to give you an idea of the hours so you can actually come back and eat. That's her in a nutshell. 🤷‍♂️
That's pretty good. I was thinking that its probably similar to calling customer service, trying to speak to an agent. Finally someone answers and they put you in hold. You wait on hold for a really long time only for the call to get disconnected. You call back and can't get through because "all of our agents are busy assisting other customers. Please try again later."
