Two Major League baseball players broke up five different no-hit bids* during their careers.
Their Big League careers did not overlap, but neither played in the Majors before 1965 nor after 1988.
One of them played in 157 or more games in five consecutive season, and received MVP votes in each of those seasons.
The other was an average player who had a cousin with the same surname who played parts of two seasons for the Montreal Expos, and finished third in the Rookie of the Year voting while playing for his original team. The cousin was part of a four team trade, and was acquired along with a future Hall of Fame player. Two seasons later, both the cousin and the HOFer won World Series rings. The cousin was sometime seen smoking cigarettes while sitting on the Expos' bench during TV broadcasts.
Name either or both of the 'one-hit wonders'.
* They each had their team's only hit in a game five times.
