I as well, (although a good teenage Jewish boy), used to lie in bed at around 11 pm with my Sony transistor radio and listen to WLS Chicago for pop and rock, and a 50 watt AM radio station broadcasting R&B from Shreveport Louisiana.

Could only receive them at night, for whatever technological reason...

a little background for Sonic Temple....Candi Staton recorded some great soul music in the 60,s and 70s before turning her attention to Gospel later in life.....here she is later in life doing her thing live....when i 1st saw this vid,,,i was mesmerized....for the entire 6 minutes and the last 2 minutes always gets to me

Amazing - I queued up her 1969 'I'm Just a Prisoner' for a spin tomorrow. As for the last 2 minutes - ......'you are my one and only'......that gets me all the time - no mater where I hear it.
