This has happened twice to me in the last couple of weeks. I find a spot, I’m about to pull into it and someone from the opposite lane pulls into the spot and then drives ahead into the spot I’m about to go into instead of stopping and using the spot in their lane way.

I get doing this, but at least I have the common courtesy to make sure no one was about to pull into the second spot and if I see someone, I just back up into the original spot in my laneway. Like WTF? How hard is it to just look or back up? And when I honk and indicate I am about to pull into that spot, I get stupid looks like “sorry but what can I do now?” You can back the fuck up into your original spot. Now I have to drive around to the next laneway and park behind you.

Arg…. My rant for the day.

The other parking annoyance I have is people walking in the middle of the laneway to get to their car, move the fuck over. I don’t even have the patience now. I just honk at them.

Or people who see you backing out of stop and still walk behind your car.

I'm glad I moved out of the city and tend to avoid malls where I am. People are turning into idiots and self centered. I've done stuff similar to your situation and will back up if someone was already trying to get into the spot unless I beat them to it before they can even indicate they were going to that spot. When I go to Walmart now I generally prefer parking further away but clowns walking in the middle of the parking lot are brain dead entitled. Then they have the audacity to turn around and look at you when you slowly move closer. Stuff like this is one of the reasons why I'm sticking to online shopping with free delivery to avoid the general public. The worst I heard from a friend who requires a handicap spot was he was indicating he wanted the spot and waited for the person to pull out, but then someone from the other side shows up and takes the handicap spot and didn't give a fuck even though you were waiting first and indicated. The guy just gave a finger and smiled and went into the mall lol. He's lucky his vehicle or tires didn't get fucked up.

With this are people who back into a spot at the grocery store. Then when they return stand in the empty spot beside it to unload groceries into the car.

But ya pulling through is dangerous as well. I had words with one dude that did this to me in the lot and then in the grocery store when he mouthed off to my SO when I was in another aisle.

Second round he backed the fuck up. Closest I came in awhile to popping someone.

Some of these clown will experience fuck around find out. Luckily we aren't in America and living south where all you gotta do is show your piece and some people will smarten up.

I've also the odd time chatted with someone in a store who I know to briefly catch up, but I'm also pretty visual about my surroundings so if I see someone is coming near and wants something I'll move out of the way but these people still chatting and look at you then you say excuse me and grab and item at times give you a look. It's the main reason I do shopping early morning or closer to closing time now. I can't stand most people in general. And long line ups during the day annoy me especially if I want to go through the self checkout and it's people who lack how to use basic user friendly tech. Baby boomers get cringy including my own folks lol.

Had it happen to me once. Still boiling over it. Ugly Karen ran through her parking place to steal mine. I had to hit the brakes and throw my car in reverse to avoid a collision. With her. Hit a brand new SUV while trying to get out of her way. Her son got out of the car and walked towards me pointing at his chin, yelling "hit me".
The women in the SUV went all pms on me. I gave them my drivers license , phone number and insurance information by letting them take pics. They wouldn't reciprocate. Luckily an RCMP car rolled up. I explained what happened. If there had been no witnesses and I had a crow bar, I would have resolved my problem with the Karen who started the whole thing. She just rolled up her window and ignored the whole incident by locking eyes on her phone.

People are fucking idiots. I got into an accident once in my 20s and it was 100% her fault during rush hour in Sauga and luckily a witness seen and gave his business card to me. Fuckers tried to take me to court saying I was speeding when I wasn't and the witness also showed up and the case was just dismissed in public court and they didn't show up just had a lawyer present to say nothing was gonna happen. And one time at a red light some chick taps my bumper cause she took her foot of the pedal then lied saying I put the vehicle in reverse and she had a coworker in the vehicle too. I should have let the entire thing go cause it was under $300 to pop some minor dent out which I shouldn't have cared about so it ended up being 50/50 and my rates went slightly up. If I was still in the city I'd have front and back cams because people lie.

With all these morons driving with LED lights and having hands free phones is also causing issuing cause the LED can lead to migraines which messes up peoples driving and the phone even hands free is a distraction. I know the odd time I used bluetooth while driving and talking I've missed a turn to where I was going because the focus gets distracted. I won't even use that feature now when driving nor do I care to even have my phone on often.

I came across a short vid the other day and some loud mouth Karen was yapping her gums at some guy who was calm and had his arms folded (probably down in America) and she was saying she didn't do anything. When the guy seen her get into some accident or whatever and she's at fault. She was right up into buddy's face saying "You didn't see shit" or something and eventually the cops showed up. Gotta love when people can't admit their mistake. Most people would have wanted to knock her out, but the guy just stood there calm.

There are people who swear by backing up. It is safer, it is fast to get out of something happens, bla, blah , blah.

It may have been safer back in the day but we have reverse cameras now. We don't need to back in anymore.

OMG...I was thinking of this today going to the grocery store. I feel your pain. When you're a sharp dialed in driver you quickly notice the stupidity on todays roads. People have ZERO situation awareness. Has anyone noticed when people cross a street on a green light they fail to look both ways?

All of this...and this, too: You see someone get in their car in a parallel parking spot so you pull a car length or so behind them to "reserve" the spot. And then... the person just sits there, usually scrolling on their "cocaine" device even though they know you are waiting for them to vacate the space. You may even pull up beside them to ask if they're leaving instead of waiting for someone else to get in their car, pull back again, and still wait. And wait. This should be be like opening and holding doors for someone with an armful of packages or using a walker (or a wearing short skirt): get in your car and pull away so someone else can have the space. Courtesy, where art thou?

My personal parking pet peeve is when I'm planning to parallel park, signal my intention, slow down, line up with the car ahead of the spot, and the bozo behind me doesn't stop until they're a few feet from my bumper, thereby making it impossible to complete my parallel park, leaving me no option but to circle the block. I mean, what did you think I was doing? Turning into a solid store front? Pay attention.

I had someone do the same thing. An oversize postal worker and when I looked into the mirror she sat there with her hands folded and didn't care. I was there first and signaled I was gonna parallel park and she was rude about it. If people are gonna still act like jerks like this I'm gonna up my game too. And then these people will cry wolf like omg what happen to my vehicle??? Who would do this??? I'm an innocent queen, oh poor me. Go fuck yourself.

A number of industrial and construction workplaces mandate backing into parking spots. These types of rules are invariably written in blood. People on the work site have been killed from cars or trucks backing into them. Be careful out there.

Most of those vehicle don't have back up cameras though.

The guy in the oversized pick up truck at his local Costco has one. The soccer mom in her mini van has one. Regular drivers don't need to back into spaces any more.

Besides it helps when you have asshole like my ex who would purposely park so close to a backed in vehicle they couldn't open the lift gate. Usually when it was a woman because he was an alpha male prick.

Which, if you're honest, is what attracted you to him in the first place.
