You're a lucky man X. You got to witness a musical God live in the flesh. I'm officially jealous.
Actually saw him live twice more after that.

Once opening for the Stones at the PNE in Vancouver in the summer of '65, and one more time in the LaGuardia airport in NYC.

The second time we were both in a waiting lounge in La Guardia for a flight up to Montreal. I did a doubletake when I saw him cuz I couldn't believe my eyes. He just smiled at me...

I believe "Hold Me Tight" by Johnny Nash was one of the earliest reggae songs to chart in the U.S. and Canada.

Also "The Israelites " by Desmond Dekker & The Aces

And the ska song "My Boy Lollipop" by Millie Small...

i heard both this and Duke of Earl within minutes of each other on Sirius Radio while running some errands yesterday....both in my fav 50 songs of all time
