From whom we are going to buy the nuclear submarines and fighter jets
needed to shore up national defence is not as much a concern as finding
the funds needed to make the purchases, I am afraid. Given how Trudeau
squandered away billions on Zelensky and Freeland's $61.9B deficit we may
as well look to China, India, Iran and North Korea to import more affordable
arms. Their dirt cheap weapons sucks though compared with what you can
get from the U.S.

Between Trump's U.S. and Europe you have to exercise caution
to decide which side to join. One side is our neighbor currently
governed by an asshole. The other will in all likelihood turn out to
be the loser in the Ukraine proxy war against Russia. I suggest you
take the side of the winner.
Canada can buy nuclear subs from the French, they make pretty good ones, people seem to have no idea what the cost of these things are when they complain about the money spent on the Victoria class subs. The Canadian plan to acquire 12 conventional subs carries a lifetime cost of over 100B. The new frigates we are buying will be 80-100B not including OPEX. Its really a shitload of money. I think Canada should really focus on drones, Land/sea/air. That is how war will be fought in the future. No need to buy more sacred cows from wars of the past. Australians plan to acquire nuclear subs will be up to $360B for just 8 subs.

North Korea's troops have reportedly crossed into Ukraine for the first time. Trump has ordered that F-16 jamming devices used by Ukraine be disabled to make them vulnerable to Russia. Russia has increased its attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, including the use of cluster munitions.
That is brutal. But it won't stop the UK, NATO-Europe and Trudeau from
sending more aid to Ukraine to prolong the war. If you are Ukrainian just
look to the bright side of things for consolation. Zelensky is going to
receive more money to compensate loss of Ukrainian lives. As a Canadian
you better pray Trudeau or his successor won't send our troops to Ukraine
to attack Putin's North Korean cannon fodder.
