Hearing Seth Jones traded to Florida. I like where the Leafs are at in terms of their roster but they do need some depth. Hopefully a trade is made soon.
Yeah, with Stolly and Woll, adding one or two pieces to the puzzle and they could be a cup contender. The time to push is now.

He replaces Montour. Jones will play 2nd pairing behind Ekblad and Forsling so their defense is rock solid again for the playoffs.
Leafs like acquring former captains of other teams. Players like Thornton, Marleau, Foligno, O'Reilly, Giordano, Tavares. So expect Leafs to somehow someway pick up Brayden Schenn. Domi won't cut it as the 3rd line center in the playoffs.

Sharks, the worse team in the League, had lost their last 8 games before beating the Leafs.
Celebrini is a year younger than Bedard could very well be better if not on par.
Florida beat TB 2 to 1 in regulation. Huge 4 pt game.

I'll cut the Leafs some slack. 3 games in 4 nights in 3 different cities is not easy.
Leafs were 27-0-0 when leading after 2 periods before losing to SJ. They had a 2 goal lead.
All they needed to do was lock it down in the 3rd. It's what they do.

TB has loaded up by trading for Bjorkstrand and Gourde for roughly 2 first round draft picks plus a second round pick, and Eyssimont. They also gave Detroit a draft pick to retain salary.
So the price will be hefty for the Leafs when they load up. The team as it stands now will not beat either Florida or TB in the playoffs and they'll need to beat at least one if not both just to advance to the Conference Finals.
