So...USA economy outperforming almost every other country on virtually all metrics, record high stock market, low unemployment, lowest inflation in developed world etc...seems like a good idea to throw massive radical changes into the mix and blow it up. Why keep with a winning strategy? (Lol)
BTW, just collecting the taxes the upper 1% already owe makes a significant dent in the deficit. Or would cut child poverty by much more than half according to Matthew Desmond ("Poverty, by America", is his book. Saw the interview, did not read the book). Small changes in the cut off for social security taxes keeps it paying full benefits another 50-75 years.
