We should also create a strategic metals reserve and start directing 1m T a year (1/3) into the reserve and place a 25% export tariff on it. This will cripple the US autoparts industry and level somewhat the Canadian parts industry. Once auto plants start laying people off it will get some attention. Also we need to supply manage Canadian oil exports to the USA.only one seller one price take it or leave it.
