Aren't all sports team owners basically the same though? Billionaires getting arenas paid for by the taxpayers.
NFL owners are a different breed. Remember former Rams owner Georgia Frontiere moved her team from the second largest market to a much smaller market just to get a new stadium. This was right after the St. Louis expansion bid failed. Al Davis moved the Raiders from the same market because he wanted the state to pay for major renovations to the Coliseum. He settled for Mt. Davis in a run down O.C.C. Bud Adams moved the Oilers from a top 5 market to much smaller market Nashville shortly after the Memphis expansion bid failed. No other sports league in recent history has had a team leave a large market for a much smaller market just to get a new building to play in. I'll give you the Sonics going to OKC as probably the closest one.
Moving the Chargers out of San Diego was stupid, next question.

I'm starting to think all kinds of stuff other than a casino/gaming resort/center being the reason for the trade.
Whatever it is, the fix was in by Silver, Addelsons and Cuban. It's too bad, Luka looked great in blue and was Dallas' kid.

I doubt that's the reason. If that were the case then they would've talked to other teams about Luka. Instead they kept it private and dealt only with the Lakers. Probably to make LeBron happy. Las Vegas is in line to get an expansion team.

I mean the casino/gaming thing is at the top of the list, but there could be other reasons as well. It just doesn't make sense, so that's why my mind is wandering with all of it.
I don't lose sleep over it, but when I see videos, clips or read anything regarding it, I give it some thought.
Whatever the reason, I genuinely don't think Luka will ever get a ring now. Just a feeling.
If he does get a ring it'll be a LeDisney-tier ring for sure as long as Adam Silver is around to make it happen.
It's too bad, Dallas was where it should have been, that city was his and he was theirs.
