Qualified for what? He's never been elected to anything here.

It's hilarious that Liberal voters don't know any of his policies but are so sold on Carney. His purpose is to make Liberal voters not feel shame for voting and donating Liberal again.

Freeland has been out performing him but we know the system is rigged for Carney.
Do you really want to compare this https://www.britannica.com/money/Mark-Carney to Pee Pee's qualifications? DUDE come on man, think before you answer this so you don't look silly. I'm trying to help you.

I don't understand...I thought it balances itself.
Deflection is not worth responding to.

I will however ask a question, what's going on with the Provincial Conservative budget?? Is it balancing itself for 2026-27??

The government remains on track to achieve fiscal balance by 2026–27 while making targeted investments to support families, keep costs down and rebuild the economy. The 2024 Ontario Economic Outlook and Fiscal Review is projecting a deficit of $6.6 billion in 2024–25. Over the medium term, the government projects a deficit of $1.5 billion in 2025–26 followed by a surplus of $0.9 billion in 2026–27. This is a significant improvement compared to the 2024 Budget and reflects the government’s commitment to balancing the budget, reducing the deficit and putting Ontario’s finances on a sustainable path.

The fear of Carney is real. I love it!

GO CARNEY GO!!!!!
As I've oft said. Right now he is in a bit of a honeymoon phase, and receiving positive press. But right now the Conservatives have people and bots scouring the internet for every comment, speech he has made where he will sound like a banker/elitist. And there will be a lot of them.

Central Bankers don't have their dirt exposed, politicians do. Ex assistants, employees, and others will come forward. His record with private equity will be exposed. The campaign trail can be quite unforgiving. And unlike previously elected officials he has never undergone a public vetting with people actively seeking to harm his reputation. Social media hasn't even started up yet.

The carbon tax goes up April 1st as well...How's he going to get around that when prices go up?

They are going to claim they plan to cancel it. But I doubt many will believe them. And those NDP environmental switch voters won't vote them.

Simple fact is it's the same crew. He doesn't get to pick anyone for his cabinet, just from the caucus. So same old same old.

Fair enough! We won't know until he becomes the official leader and then run his campaign to hopefully flush PEE PEE down the toilet.
So budgets don't balance themselves?
I cannot answer your question since you avoided my question but I will leave you with a little more Mike and Destiny.

Once Carney becomes PM in March, I'm sure he will try and freeze the hike. I would highly recommend he do so just to put another pin into Pee Pee's peeper.

He has stated an election will be called day one. He can't delay it or face serious backlash from the populace.

That makes him a banker, a private equity dude, and an elitist.

Do you really think that makes him a retail politician with a message?
If a reality star who also is a felon can win, so can an intelligent, well-educated, well-spoken economist who served as governor of the Bank of Canada and has many accomplishments compared to a dribble called Pee Pee.

Why would he share all of his policies when he is not the PM yet running in an election? TO please the folks like yourself who would never vote for him?
Because he's running for Liberal Leadership.

Why would you support a leader you don't even know what his plans are?

As I said.....retail politician. Sure he can talk to a room full of bankers at Davos, but the beer league dude? We shall see.

Trump btw, whatever his policy, is an effective and charismatic candidate. Charisma btw can also make someone hate them, but pay attention to him.

Does Carney have that X Factor?

I've said in another thread, Trump will eat Carney alive.

All this "He's qualified" talk would go out the window if they ever sit at the negotiation table.
