I walked by them on the weekend. Who supplies the heating fuel? I believe there's a shitter, who pumps it out? You can't have these popping up randomly. Plus they would be hot and disgusting in the summer. Water supply needs to be replenished and pumped out. Poorly thought out by the guy.

You would hope that a kind hearted person with a large piece of private property would offer up their location as a solution. Of course this won't happen, homelessness has such a negative reputation with most people.

Ok lol. In the middle of nowhere, that sure would work out. Lol. Garbage everywhere, drug use, open sex, sewage, etc. Who wouldn't want that.

The guy had the right idea and good intentions no doubt - just needed a plan like what @cumstainz suggested.

This guy has been begging for city support and is doing more to combat homelessness then any politician. The city needs to step up and help him. If they are not going to do things to improve the housing crisis we have, the least they can do is help those who are doing to right things to combat homelessness.

They all need to be drug tested weekly before any help is given. People are too stupid to realize there is lots of planning before you plop tiny homes somewhere. The feds need to build prison or camp style accommodations in the middle of nowhere and house them there, but we'd have to pay for it. Five tiny homes poorly planned is useless.

We need to stop footing the bill for mostly junkies and grifters and help the 20% that actually need it. These junkies all have warming rooms they can go to but they don't like the rules and smoke meth most of the time there.

Sorry, I don’t automatically assert that they are all druggies.

At least 80% are, give your head a violent shake. 20% are too far gone and need help, the rest want to steal some walmart, grocery stores, dollar stores, shoppers drug mart, home depot, just about anywhere, and sell the stuff for drugs.
Meh ….. your opinion.

We would have a lot to learn about Mexico. In Mexico, they build entire cities of small homes that all look alike. At first, it looks like a prison camp. But after 2-3 years of being populated the Mexicans grow trees, garden, improve their homes and surroundings, and become nice places to live. The government remains the owner of the land, to avoid price gouging and to keep back their investment in building the roads, sewage, electricity, etc...

I have travelled all over Mexico for 20 years. I have rarely seen a homeless.

I saw a vision from hell when I rode the train from Oaxaca to Mexico City back in the 90's. As the train was about two hours out of the city center, there were hundreds of thousands of homeless people living in the embankment of the line. Complete filth and poverty. Scene from Dante's Inferno. Never saw anything like it in my life. So if they've cleaned all that up, that's some achievement. I doubt it though.

Why don't you go out and buy a large piece of property because what you say makes perfect sense what a great solution 🫨

80% of statistics thrown out by people on the internet are just made up.
Watch intervention, most of these junkies had good families who felt guilty and ended up enabling them. All these junkies have cell phones somehow. They all have sob stories that people fall for. As I said, help the 20% who need it.

Build junkie camps, have weekly drug testing. They have to have full time work and 20% of their income goes to rent, the rest is subsidized. I guarantee in this situation there would be a 95% failure rate.

Why stop there? Do you take any deductions on your income tax? Do you recieve any benefits from the government? You should be drug tested weekly too. Hell, purchasing sex in Canada remains illegal. Why should my tax dollars fund your crimes in any way? Stop taking tax deductions, and quit stealing my money, you criminal!
