Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gifted US President Donald Trump a golden pager during their meeting in the White House on Tuesday, his office confirmed yesterday, in an apparent reference to Israel’s attack on Lebanon in September last year which rights groups said could constitute a war crime.

The gift “symbolises the Prime Minister’s decision that led to a turning point in the war and the starting point for breaking the will of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah,” Netanyahu’s office said.

The attack “expresses the power, technological superiority and cunning of Israel against its enemies,” it added.

The golden pager displayed the text, “Press with both hands”, and was given to Trump with a placard saying: “To President Donald J. Trump, our greatest friend and greatest ally. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.”

More than 1,000 people, including Hezbollah members and medics, were wounded on 17 September when the pagers they use to communicate exploded across Lebanon. Trump called the attack “a great operation”.

I think you are wrong. I believe USA, if Israel did not exist, would have had better relations with Iran, Turkey and Saudi.

Maybe the creation of Israel was the UK's revenge for America's dethroning of their empire.

Certainly if the US was interested in gaining access to oil and gas in the region arming the one state that has none was not the way to go.
Most of that US empire business is still based on resource control, even as it becomes less relevant.

This is the reason why creation of the state of lsrael in the
Middle East is absolutely essential to the security of the U.S.
and the west. Had it not been for Israel fighting our enemies
in the gulf region those animals would have hopped on western
airplanes, trains and buses and found their way into the civilized
parts of the world. It would be us who would be attacked if
military aid to Israel is ever withdrawn.

A pager is an electronic device that receives a signal to deliver a message, so to make the casing out of metal is to inhibit the device. If the device has a plastic case and a coating with gold particles this would also prevent the signal from easily reaching the device. The gold pager may be just a simple pager with a gold colored polymer coating.

As nonsensical as spending all the money on fueling military
conflicts in the Middle East and military aid to Israel. As nonsensical
as sheeple in the west cheering support of their governments'
support of Israel.

Another 9/11 attack in a major city in the west would be welcomed
by Israel. It would only strenthen the west's resolve to send more aid
to Israel to fight the terrorists. And that is if they don't want to do
the fighting themselves which is not likely. They U.S. would be
first one to do the dirty work as needed to defend its master.

I think Western Capitalism/Democracy and Sharia Law based Givt are so fundamentally opposed on so many levels it will be impossible to co exist in the end.
