This is absolutely true. That's why people who argue for free trade don't realize (or ignore) it's all managed trade. Mexico is far worse with the exceptions and government intrusion into American investment into Mexico.

They aren't allowed deposits under 150,000$ making it impossible to compete. American telecom has tried for years to come to Canada to combat the high prices but have always been blocked. Everyone knows that. I'll await your liberal name calling rebuttal lol.

They didn't get it last time. And they won't this time. Especially now with looser inspections and all the other deregulation of food going on.

We won't compromise our food supply, nor our food supply chain. Covid taught a valuable lesson on food security.

And his own party will not let him tariff. If you think this was Trump winning you are quite naive. A 1 Congressional seat majority means 2 can kill his legislation. And they have voters and donors in numerous states who gave them an earful.

3 seats in the Senate. With 3 already hating him still? He is walking a tight wire and needs those votes later.

Why would we want to bank with drifters used to lax banking laws that will fuck around?

We have 5 major banks, several smaller ones, as well as Credit Unions. More than enough. The US banks can stick to facilitating international business deals.

I have no issue with managed trade where nations can have certain foreign investment limitations.

I don't want the USA controlling our farming, food supply(you can send things up that meet our standards in processed form), natural resources, things like Potash(we told China to fuck off as well on this). Absolutely not in banking and Telecommunications. That's a national security thing.

Cripes you guys are banning Tic Tok on that basis and you think we want another nation in on our actual infrastructure? Would you let another nation do that?
