Trump is a grandstander, constantly trying to project an image of strength and action, yet his approach is more about theatrics than effective policy. He wants the American public to believe he is taking meaningful steps to address issues like fentanyl trafficking, but the numbers tell a different story. According to DEA estimates, around 12,000 pounds of fentanyl were seized at the U.S.-Mexico border last year, compared to just 30 pounds at the Canadian border. Mexico, not Canada or China, is the primary source of illicit fentanyl. Yet, instead of focusing on real solutions, Trump has damaged America’s credibility on the world stage, making himself look like a foolish bully and reducing the American public to unwitting pawns in his political theater. His downfall seems inevitable, as he has made the critical error of antagonizing multiple nations, including Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and even European allies like Norway over Greenland. His reckless tariff policies risk plunging the global economy into a prolonged recession or even a depression.
I have to wonder if he is a psychopath on a power trip or he is desperate to please the American public in a desperate attempt to gain a third term as president so that he can avoid his legal/civil troubles and obligation.
