There can never be a perfect vetting system.
You could even have a highly qualified legal immigrant commit murder tomorrow.
Its happened before.
Doesn't mean you have to live in fear.
Do you suffer from paranoia?
People experienced with this stuff have created these processes.
They are good enough.
Itā€™s not fair to our citizens. Serving the American citizens comes first, before anything else.

It is far from perfect. The system and border should be shut down until a better system can be implemented. One that everyone, regardless if you are on the right or the left, can be comfortable with. Oatmeal, not your call to make whether the system is good or not.

No.
Asylum Seekers are legal from the point of application for asylum.
This is what I explained just the other day and you are back to square one.
When they sit down for the credible fear screening interview, they are legal because they are submitting their documentation for a legal immigration process.
When I say "accepted" it is that their application is accepted to be heard in immigration court, and not that their petition is approved.
Once accepted and while in waiting, some of these people are released (which is what they call "catch and release").
The others stay in immigration detention.
The ones who are released can apply for social security card, work without employment authorization.
These are all legal provisions even before their case is approved by immigration court.
So yes, they are legal from the point of application for asylum.
Wrong...they can't apply for social security until their papers are approved. that is why the catch and release isn't working... the biden administration didn't even have the migrants apply on the border. they just let them use a shipping app...they fucked up...but don't worry it's getting fixed...just because Biden's EO says it legal doesn't mean it was...

If you have to resort to gaining JohnLarue's approval for your arguments, then you have hit a new low. lmfao.
I'm just stating your standard for performance is pretty low if you'e saying "good enough" for a system that isn't working...LoL...no meritocracy such a DEI proven track record...good enough...the LAFD also performing "good enough" for you?

You wouldn't be able to know whether it is a better system if the borders are shut down.
Processes need to be tested out for a period of time for efficacy and therefore the borders would have to stay open (I do not mean open borders) and process improvements tested out in real time.

No they can.
They can apply for social security and work as well.
And the CBP One app was for appointment scheduling.
Because they were having too many migrants at the border, they used the CBP One app to schedule appointments for their credible fear screening interview.
It was not an immigration application.
So no, Biden did not fuck up.
That is just a MAGA lie.

But you have no "definition of good".
The DoJ report showing that migrants offend at rates much lower than citizens is proof that the processes at the border are working.
Crime by migrants is blown out of proportion in a dishonest fashion to push a certain racist narrative about them by the MAGA press.
DEI and meritocracy are not mutually exclusive.
DEI does not impact merit and that is once again a MAGA lie.
I showed you in the other thread how LAFD's response was actually good.
So you depends on lies and falsehoods to assert your positions.
Actual data however shows that you are wrong and your response is always to cover your eyes and ears and pretend they dont exist. lmao.

The rate doesnt matter.
Its the actual crimes committed by illegal immigrants who shouldnt be in the country to begin with that matter

No we are going to shut it down. Itā€™s like a filter. There are many good immigrants but a lot of bad ones. Many bad ones are getting through too, as can be seen with the ICE deportations only after one week! We have to now go back in to communities, use tax payer money, and find them and kick them out, which ICE is doing. Why do we have to clean up the crap again if we have a filter. Rather than this inefficient system, we shut it down and wait for a new filter, not keep the old one running. May take six months, may take a year or longer.

If the weaker countries such as those in the EU have a problem with this, maybe they can be the nice guys and take them in. Adding many Latin Americans in will add to the beautiful diversity they are trying to aim for.

The rate matters because it shows you whether or not your processes are working and if you are largely doing a good job of letting in the right people.
Even so you cannot always predict the future and it will always be a limitation.
So let us now blow the problem out of proportion.

The fewer illegal immigrants, the less crime you will get.
Its as simple as that.
So Trump is right by going after them

This was done to push MAGA lies, and racist narratives about migrants and his base just eats it up as the truth.

Shocking data shows 15K illegal immigrants in US accused of murder ā€” as Kamala Harris visits border

Federal numbers released Friday show that more than 15,000 illegal immigrants currently living in the US are convicted or accused of homicide ā€” with the eye-popping figure made public as Vice President Kamala Harris traveled to the southern border to address her perceived weakness on the issue.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement provided the data to Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas), who published it as Air Force Two flew to southern Arizona for the Democratic presidential nomineeā€™s second border trip since becoming President Bidenā€™s point person on reducing illegal immigration.

ā€œAs of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICEā€™s national docket ā€”13,099 criminally convicted MURDERS!ā€ tweeted Gonzales, a critic of Harrisā€™ performance who represents more than 800 miles of territory along the US-Mexico border.

ā€œAmericans deserve to be SAFE in our own communities.ā€

Under Biden and Harris, millions of illegal immigrants have been released into the US to await badly backlogged asylum proceedings ā€” after the administration repudiated former President Donald Trumpā€™s ā€œRemain in Mexicoā€ policy for those claiming persecution in their homelands.

ICE currently is detaining 277 migrants who have been convicted of homicide and 51 who face such charges, the agency said, indicating that those individuals likely are in the process of being deported.

Federal authorities are aware of but not currently detaining 13,099 illegal immigrants living in the US who have been convicted of homicide and 1,845 who are accused of it, according to the data set.

Fetterman tells the evil Witches at The View President Trump has done everything he promised he would do And we the American people voted for itā€¦ ā€œI donā€™t agree with everything, but Itā€™s undeniable.. he actually ran on that and heā€™s been really upfrontā€¦ There may be things I donā€™t agree with, but Iā€™m in the business of finding wins for Pennsylvania and for the nation, and engaging with the president is doing my job.ā€
I can think of a few things he hasn't done, as promised, like lower prices day one. In fact, he's actually made things more expensive, like prescription drugs and now eggs. I still see the war is going on in Ukraine. That was a day one promise.

And, we'll see how prices respond when he starts to impose his beloved tariffs....
