Facebook flooding with other FB sites.

I usually see my groups threads or other posts from my friends. Now Its posting all kinds of sites like: inspirational quotes gurus, vartem, 80's memory lane. How do I stop this? I do have a ad blocker but it doesn't seem to work on these sites.
