Hello,

Looking to possibly do a short stay in Kingston after my stay in Ottawa.

Looking for recommendations for a good place to host. Preferably with no need for a keycard access.

Thank you. 🥰

I've seen providers at the comfort inn and holiday in Kingston. Holiday is nicer on obviously

I can’t think of any hotels in Kingston that require keycards.

What is important to you? Budget? Proximity to downtown? To 401? Amenities? Higher class hotel or just cheap, clean and cheerful?

As a client I have always been partial to patio door access. Two prospects near the 401 & Division St. would be the Comfort Inn - Warne Cres., and The Quality Inn - off Benson St. A third possibility a bit west of that is the Maple Crest Inn on Princess St. - with not much restaurant/shopping immediately available, but lots within 5 min. drive. Both Comfort and Maple have been refurbed quite nicely in the past year or so. Upscale? Try the Hilton Double Tree just up Princess St. past the Maple Crest.

I personally like The Days Inn on First Canada Ave.

It is close to Division 401 and has a Shopper's Drug Mart, Grocery Store, LCBO and countless fast food and restaurant options all across the street.

The rooms are updated and quite nice. It has a gorgeous indoor pool as well.

When booking, I request a first floor room with a sliding patio door where clients can park and walk right in.

Places to avoid IMO:

Knights Inn (terrible place with an even worse reputation)
Quality Inn (rooms are outdated and dirty)
Motel Six (not SP friendly)

I think that describes every Knights Inn!
This one is particularly bad with tons of shady activities going on in and around the immediate area. Just a little ways down the road however I recommend Best Western Fireside in for winter hosting. Every room has a fireplace with a rustic feel to it however there is no patio door access. This hotel has a nice bar/pub and another restaurant inside. I’ve seen many SP here for both incall and outcall.

The Courtyard by Marriot in front of the Outlet mall at Division and 401 (Across Division from the Holiday Inn and Comfort inn) is pretty nice, modern and didn't require a keycard if memory serves. I know some SP's from Ottawa who would base out of there when in Kingston. It has a Bistro bar on the main floor as well.

Even when it was Comfort Inn years ago it was non stop sex workers there.
Yeah, I would add Maple Crest and the Warne Cres. Comfort Inn to my AVOID list.

Someone above mentioned The Fireside Inn and I would highly recommend.
I've stayed there many times in the themed rooms just to escape for a few days; they are pricy but so much fun! Where else can you sleep in a 3 storey high hot air balloon with an in room sauna and giant hot tub!
Their regular rooms are super cozy, or you can go for The Northern Lights room with a gorgeous Jacuzzi tub.
